One of the most serene and beautiful spots along the coast. We loved the burbling brook beside our camp site.
Great place to stop for overnighter or to stay a couple days. Just be aware that the road to the mine is 8 miles of washboard dirt road. We drove in at night at 5-10 mph but asked owners the next day and they recommended going 25 mph and you ride on top of the ridges. Much better! We came late and left the next day. Mined our opals from the shopkeepers display😁. Nice selection of jewelry, and very friendly and accommodating owners.
Great little place. Quirky and fun. Tasty club sandwich, but know what you want before you approach the counter of the sandwich lady. I got reprimanded for wasting her time (she was a one person show). She was very direct but if you go with a sense of humor you will have a great time. It was a memorable stop.
