It’s everything that was mentioned in the reviews and more. Here are a few of my observations.

There is bus parking. So that’s great if you are pulling a trailer, Class A or C.

The problem is if you don’t follow your GPS exactly. We made a wrong turn in our Class B and we were directed thru a few side streets that weren’t the best and tight.

This is an old part of the city. Streets and highways are tight and outdated. Plenty of road construction. So...plan your route in and out carefully.

The museum was great. But unless you are really into the Civil War, after 30 to 45 minutes you begin to get overwhelmed.

There is so much info here and you’ll start to get confused with by each skirmish and dates.

History buffs will love it but otherwise you can see and hear it quickly to get the full gist of what happened during that period of time.

We were there two years ago and since then, the town added more.

We had lunch next door to the chimes and then had a great cup of coffee on Main Street.

The town is trying very hard to bring tourists to town. People are very friendly and it’s a very clean area.

Grab a map and visit all the large items, you won’t be disappointed.

We have a class B, so we parked on Main Street. Class A, C and towing trailers will need to park a little away from the center of town. But it’s all walkable.

The Winnebago club was planning to go there last year, but we know how that went.

We stayed at a kOA on the other side of the highway. It was old but very clean.

Stopped there today and spent over an hour walking the grounds.

Very clean and plenty to read and look at. There is a waterfall (man made) with ducks and a ton of Koi.

Sometimes you will find a play or other entertainment there.

I only saw street parking. So if your towing or a Class A or C, I would look into where to park.

The inside plant area, is under renovation and won’t be open till 2022. That was a disappointment. But otherwise, worth walking around and it’s close to their River Walk area and the Banjo Museum.

We spent most of a day walking around visiting vintage and antique stores. Plenty restaurants in the walking area.

Parking is ok for RV’s but the bigger units will need to park a little away from the old section.

The area is very clean and safe. You are close to Henderson, Green Valley, Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. So...maybe spend a few hours walking around and then head to another area.

A great place to view classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. Very little to get in and a place I would highly recommend for everyone.

Interested in buying a classic? There were a few for sale.

Wow...We were not expecting what we saw and learnt. A volunteer docent spent almost two hours with us. He gave us the history of the area, Indian tribes, history of the house, a 1909 school house, date museum and more.

The grounds were immaculate and I wish we were there in the spring. Many weddings and other festivities are booked there.

Once done of the tour, the docent recommended a building where a photographer took all kinds of bird pictures. There was a short video and it was well worth the time we spent in it. The displays change during the year.

A large public parking lot is across from the museum.

Everything was great here but here are some of my recommendations:

1. Get there when they open. If you like to read the displays, watch videos and movies, you will need a full day.

2. They have food and snacks.

3, You will pay for parking. Here was my problem, I have a 21’ Travato Winnebago. It’s basically a van conversion. You can NOT park in the parking garage or in the regular parking. Signs are posted and they will tow it away.

I questioned the lot attendant and she wasn’t sure where to park. I drove past the hall and parked on the road with a meter. But it is only two hour parking.

I have no idea where class A & C can park. I’m planning to contact them to question them.

4. We stayed till they closed. Plan on a lot of traffic.

Other than that, Rock On!
