“One of Oklahoma city's most beloved public spaces”
The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 17 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City. A .6-acre children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, restaurant space, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Band shell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more. Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call her home.
Great space that well represents the revitalization of Oklahoma City! This space is right in the heart of downtown by the Devon building and Chesapeake Arena. Bikeshare is available, and food trucks are there for the different events like Movie Nights and the Arts Festival. In the winter, the ice skating rink will be here too. The actual indoor of the garden costs but has a wide assortment of flora and a talking macaw!
Nice stop! My kids loved the Thunder Fountain. It was totally cool. The grounds were a nice place to walk. The Crystal Bridge Conservatory was neat but a bit pricey. At $8/adult, $5/kid... It was a bit expensive for the 20-30 mins that we were in there. Beautiful! But a bit expensive.
Nice gardens we didn't go inside the tunnel but all the outdoor areas were really nice with a great kids playground.
I loved stopping here! So many different and neat plants and they are all labeled. The place is pretty big as well, and has a cute pond below it
We just walked around the garden without going into the conservatory. It was beautiful. Don’t forgot to pack kids with extra clothes if they play at the water area.
It was a hot day and the concession sold real fruit popsicle that was a real treat!
