I called to make reservations for one night in the campground, and i was told they don’t make reservations for one night.
I explained i’m driving long distance and won’t get there till 6:30. The woman said there was plenty of open sites, so just fill out the paperwork and pay for the night in the morning.
The price was very reasonable, if you have plans to spend any amount of time at the park…..but when I pulled up the entrance, everyone has to pay $20 even if you only want to camp.
So, the entrance fee plus the campsite fee adds up.
The campsites are clean, police cruise around and if i had a few days, I would highly recommend staying here.
Only issue was all the roads around the area was slammed with traffic. The area seems to be a bedroom town for Atlanta workers.

First problem i had was getting there. The highway and roads were jammed. If you don’t like driving in a city, you must drive there before rush hours.
The next issue is, if you have an RV bigger than a B Class, I wouldn’t recommend going there. We had to park in a dirt parking lot for $20 and walk about a quarter of a mile to the museum.
Ok, we get to the museum and they didn’t have anyone there to sell tickets. We were told to order the tickets on line. The entrance tickets are timed. I watched a few older people have issues and the coke staff had to help them.
As I said, the tickets are timed. This means a fairly large group goes in at a time. Which means, if you like to read information or take pictures, you are rushed. At each room where there is a display, a staff member is in the front talking about the displays and it was almost impossible to hear what was said.
Most of the kids were more interested in getting to the top floor to try out all the coke products.
Between the driving, parking and being rushed, the cost of going there to me isn’t worth it. I probably would been better off going to the Aquarium across the plaza from the Coke Museum.

A small town but with a really nice clean square. Edison’s house is on a side street, so be careful on where you park.
The docent, who was a retired teacher was excellent. She answered a lot of questions and I couldn’t believe how much the museum had of his things.
I knew he and Ford were close friends, but after learning about Edison helping Ford, Ford went beyond anything normal to pay him back.
Did you know, Edison had over 2,000 patents? Or his son had over 1,000? How about a patent on a spark plug designed for the early Ford cars?
The museum was well worth it!
We have a B Class RV and a woman pulled up with a C Class towing a car. We both were able to park on the side street.

A huge park and it’s right next to a river. If you like rabbits, you’ll see them everywhere. Wi-fi didn’t work and my Verizon didn’t connect.
There is tubing, swimming, game room and so much more.
The property is very well maintained.

I must say, this is one of the top 5 RV parks we ever stayed at. If you are planning one to a few days visiting Oklahoma City, this park gives you great jumping off point.
The RV park is huge, but each parking spot has plenty of room. What would you like to do? Swim, hot tub…no problem. Need a cool one watching the kids? They have a on site bar and grill. Sometimes you can listen to someone playing inside the large eating room. What? You want to try and catch a fish? Well they even have a catch and release pond.
A little bit down the road is the Pigeon Museum National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Firefighters Museum or take the kids to the zoo.
I’ve taken a few pics and hopefully you’ll see something that looks interesting.

Wow! Only stayed one night but I could of used this as a jumping off point to visit Albuquerque.
The Club House is a immaculate. The bathrooms are extremely clean, free coffee, cappuccino and more. Too hot…shuttle to their casino.
Fast check in and all the employees were nice, including the driver who brought us to our campsite.
They had everyone spread out as much as possible. Very quiet walking paths, dog area, pool and so much more.
Lastly if you walk in the morning, maybe bring a few cut up apples or carrots. There were a few wild horses outside the fence in area.
As an actor once said, I’ll be back!

We stayed overnight with our Travato. Fast check in. A few observations: The park is quiet, the dirt roads in the park needs smoothing out and overall this park needs a lot of TLC. Good area for the dogs and a nice area for kids to play. The picnic tables are peeling and…once again it needs a good investment.
We stopped to get gas at Love’s off the I-40 exit 60, just before the Cadillac Ranch and they are putting in RV hook ups.
One last thing…I was charged $3.50 as a surcharge for online reservation fee…weird.

I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless your a die hard fan.

We we disappointed that there was no music or anything to see or do. Yes it was a Sunday, but at least make it that I would like to come back.

The grass needs mowing and the stores around it need a lot of TLC.

You need to stretch your legs? Go to a rest stop or just keep driving.

We enjoyed the stop but was very disappointed that there was nothing to see near it, get a cup of coffee or anything.

The road is really nice but there are no businesses to help support or make me want to go there again.

Roadtrippers app says it’s on the left side and it’s a little bit further down the road on the right. It is across from the police station.

I hate to say this to Popeye, unless the town gets some businesses around it, I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip. You’ll be there for about two minutes.

Just look at the pics everyone added and call it a day.

We went there on a Sunday and the museum was closed. But the grounds and a building was open to go in.

We spent 2 hours walking around and there is plenty to read and look at. There are many trails and everything was clean and well maintained.

There is plenty of parking for all kinds of RV’s. Bring plenty of water and good walking shoes. Most of the trails are paved.

It’s only a few minutes off the I-40. If you are traveling, this stop will be great to walk and burn off some calories.
