Hoped to stay here for the night after seeing it on this app, but we spotted no overnight parking signs as soon as we pulled in.
great spot for an easy dump. not quick - there’s a line of rvs ahead of us, but that was to be expected. attendant said the water is potable, but it’s the same spigot people use to rinse their hoses, so we’re not filling our tank with it.
No campground here, per phone call to number provided.
This is our second time staying here in a few months. It feels safe, is clean, generally quiet, and the price is right. The restrooms are still closed “for the winter” despite it being April, but we are self contained and wouldn’t be using them anyway. For a self sufficient RV or campervan that just needs a clean safe place to dry camp for a night, this is a great spot. We’re so grateful to cities like San Jon that provide places like this.

got here shortly before sunset and found several convenient spots. parked and started to set up for the night to make some dinner. put up our screens and opened the doors to get some fresh air… and all we could smell was sewage. we though maybe it was the spot we picked, so we drove down the way to another spot. same fragrance. heading to Cracker Barrel for the night.

Despite the signs at the entrance clearly stating No Overnight Parking, the lot is full of RVs and campers. We’re risking it and staying here with plans to leave very early in the a.m. May update later if we end up getting the knock in the wee hours.

A beautiful location to park-up our Sprinter camper van for the night. Unfortunately, we didn't see any of the infamous Marfa lights (that we're 100% sure of ), but we still enjoyed our time there. Nothing fancy, but there are basic ammenities like a restroom, which is helpful. It can be busy and a bit noisy (depends on what your tolerance level is), but it was nothing worse than we expected in a public boondocking spot like this, so we were happy. We arrived a little while before sunset, so we had some time to check out the various wildlife and local info on the plaques around the building. And as vloggers, we were extra appreciative of a wonderful golden hour and sunset - made for great video & photos! And, it's FREE!
