Served our purposes well, as we used as a base to do a Snake River jet boat trip in Hell’s Canyon (Hell’s Canyon Adventures, highly recommend). Pleasant office staff. Quiet location. And an excellent Verizon signal. Would definitely stay again when passing through Baker City on I 84.

Loved this place. Great hiking right out of the park, blazing fast Verizon signal (with antenna) at our site (48), easy access to lake, really clean bathrooms and showers, easy access to pump out station, happy surprised that our site was both a back in OR pull thru, our choice. 20-30 amp service only. Hummingbirds for the feeder! Definitely will return.

Just passing through, returning to Washington from Arizona. Conveniently located to take 97 northbound. Office and restrooms were closed because of Covid but easy to make online reservations and our check in envelope taped to office door so easy enough. Laundry room open, honor system for paying $2 wash $2 dry. Very nice Grocery Outlet walkable and almost right next door. Excellent Verizon signal with external antenna, easily streamed tv. Slightly noisy because of Pilot truck stop nearby. Not the most scenic but it smelled of pines and beautiful Mt. Shasta visible. Would definitely stay again as an overnighter.

Just needed a stopover for the night and this place fit the bill. Easy access from I-5. Price a little steep at $48 after a AAA discount (pull thru #31) but fair for California. Didn’t use restroom or laundry but they were open. Excellent Verizon signal AND the park wi-fi worked good enough to stream, in fact the office staff encouraged streaming (first time for that!). Appears to be a fair number of OTA television stations but we didn’t try those. As noted, entrance a little confusing but just turn at the Subway and there it is. Lots of rules if you have a dog (breed restrictions, etc.). Will definitely stay here again if passing through Corning.

We’ve stayed here on our trip south from Washington to Arizona for the last three years. Easy access to/from I-5. Costco and Safeway nearby. Scenic location near river. Excellent Verizon signal. Lots of places to walk and a very nice dog park. Didn’t use restrooms/showers but just assumed they were closed anyway because of covid. Only con is a few homeless tents near the river. Could be a problem in warmer months but not in November. Note there is a $10 reservation fee added onto online reservations so we paid a total of $87 for a pull thru for 2 nights. Definitely will continue to stay here when passing through.

Pulled in for a couple days to visit friends who live in nearby Oakdale. Reserved site 68 pull thru in Hackberry Flats campground. Online reservations secured us a rate of $48 for 2 days, since hubby is 65> and a vet. Rather tight accommodations but saw bigger rigs than our truck and 30’ fifth wheel in a few spots. No water contact allowed at the reservoir after September per irrigation district. Excellent Verizon coverage but few OTA tv channels. Noisy neighbors but probably because we were here over Veteran’s Day and a holiday for some. Nice place to bike along parts of the reservoir on paved road. Would stay here again.

This is our second year visiting Midland, part of the BLM LTVA areas ($180, valid Sept 15-April 15) and use these areas off and on while in CA/AZ for the winter months. Midland offers a huge area to spread out (NEVER crowded in all the times we’ve been here), a pump out, and trash disposal. NO water so come prepared. Excellent Verizon (we could stream with our mifi and antenna). Lots of areas to walk, bike, although the landscape is pretty barren. Hummingbirds galore. Small town of Blythe 8 miles away, but wait to fuel up (diesel for us) in AZ (30 miles away) as prices much cheaper there. There’s an Albertsons in Blythe. Good place for solar panels as we can always count on sun here. Pleasant 70’s day/40’s nights in late November/early December. Nice camp host. Will definitely be back a few times this season.

Conveniently located to explore Joshua Tree National Park with two entrances nearby. Pull thru site (309) with full hookups, relatively easy in/out, but a little tight for our long bed truck and 32’ fifth wheel. 15% Escapees discount. Close to town for fuel & provisioning. Nice friendly owners and local permanent residents. Funky metalwork and nice little lake to explore. Excellent Verizon coverage. Quiet when we were here mid week November. Would definitely stay here again.

Our second time here, hadn’t planned to spend a week but it was so perfect we couldn’t leave. Sparsely populated except on the weekend when the climbers and hikers arrived but still not crowded. Breathtakingly quiet, gorgeous sunsets, and starry starry nights. Lots of ground squirrels/chipmunks/quail to observe, even saw a tarantula on one of our many bike rides. Trails for hiking. Fire rings at most sites so we had a campfire every night. Dry camping at its best. The road into the campground from the main road has minor washboarding with a stretch at the end that’s pretty bad but just take it slow. 19 mile drive into Barstow for provisioning/fuel/etc. Excellent Verizon coverage. Will definitely return.
