Name and ownership recently changed!! Almost drove past it. When finally settled in nothing special except the proximity to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, which is very easy to find anyway, and distant enough it would warrant a shuttle service which is NOT provided.
Closest to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. 49 full hook-up spaces. We have 30 and 50 amp spaces. We have RV spaces and tent sites. We have free WiFi on a nightly basis and gas, propane, store, souvenirs, gift items, RV supplies and laundry. It's a one day drive to Hells Canyon and back and thirty minutes to Historical Sumpter Valley Raiload.
First, this park is no longer called Oregon Trails West RV Park, but is now known as A-Frame RV Park. When you get there you'll know why, as the office is an a-frame shaped building and judging by the shape we guess the park might once have been a KOA. Access from the freeway is easy, but it's far enough off the road to be quiet.
It was really nice, after a difficult day of driving through wind, rain and hail, to receive such a warm welcome by the lady in the office upon our arrival. She quickly helped us get settled in a pull through spot for the night. This is a small, older park with quite a few seasonal or long term residents, but things looked pretty well kept up and it appeared that the owners are busy making improvements to the park. Big, mature shade trees would be most welcome in the heat of the summer. Those of you looking for something to take back to friends or relatives back home will appreciate the cute little gift shop in the office.
The restrooms are small and quirky, but freshly tiled and painted and very clean. Good showers with plenty of hot water, but although there are two shower stalls in the lady's room (and i assume in the men's), there is only one dressing area so you either have to wait your turn or not be shy.
Those traveling with canine companions will appreciate the huge dog area which appears to be unfenced, although I did not check it out thoroughly to make sure of that.
All in all this is a nice friendly little park that's good for a night or two while traveling through the area or seeing the surrounding sites. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, located just out of town, is well worth a visit.

We are parked in a nice gravel pull through under mature trees. Folks here are very nice. Found a great brew pub in town. A cute town that is interesting for a small town. Barley's Brown Brew pub has great beer and just a couple of miles from our rv site.

After boondocking in central Oregon we decided to head back to Colorado with the oncoming heatwave. We drove about 280 miles before stopping for the night.
This little park was a nice choice. Gave us a chance to do laundry (clean washers/dryers!) and to take a nice long hot shower and dump tanks.
Sites are fairly shaded and the pull through was long enough to remain hooked up for the night. Grassy areas between each rig.
Overall a decent place to get some rest. Very easy access off I-84 but far enough away not terrible road noise although there is some noise from the train but not bad.

We stayed one night on March 4th, 2020. A good place to stay, even more than a night. What a Majestic view of mountains. I bet it is beautiful in about a month when everything is turning green. We enjoyed talking with the friendly lady in the office which made our stay feel comfortable. Was able to use their laundry room- 4 washers and 4 dryers. Full hook ups and even your own picnic table! A HUGE DOG RUN! We will be happy to stay here again.

Served our purposes well, as we used as a base to do a Snake River jet boat trip in Hell’s Canyon (Hell’s Canyon Adventures, highly recommend). Pleasant office staff. Quiet location. And an excellent Verizon signal. Would definitely stay again when passing through Baker City on I 84.
