Was told we couldn’t register till 12noon (we got there at 11:40AM) Really?
Sites are tight and are gravel and dirt

This was a one night stop and therefore I only requested electric and water. We were placed in a back-in site. To start with the weeds hadn’t been cut in forever! Next, I saw the picnic table and told my wife to go back and invite the owners over for dinner so they can eat off the most disgusting table you will ever see!! This site had obviously not been serviced in a very long time!
The full hookup pull through sites looked much better and the many full time residents do a pretty good job of maintaining their sites!

After reading all the derogatory reviews I just had to add my 2 cents! We arrived today and found the office lady to be very welcoming and friendly! The park “concierge” directed us to our site and directed us into the tight space. The sites are tight but have the hookups as expected. We are self contained so don’t use the toilets or showers so can’t comment - although the toilets are just portable “Johnny’s.”
We are here (like most campers) to visit the N. Rim, so I’m fine with the park and happy to be camping in a beautiful setting!

Arrived on a Friday afternoon and was quickly taken to our site. We confirmed that we were only staying the night as we are headed to Michigan UP.
After getting the “lay of the land” we went for a walk around the beautiful lake, a couple of laps and ready to relax ! Would definitely stay again if I’m the area!

We were looking forward to this stop but were greatly disappointed with our site #6 as it was impossible to get our trailer level. Then we noticed that the water and sewer were less than a foot apart (YIKES)!!! But then a family arrived to camp and found that their site was occupied by a family that extended their stay!!!! How does that happen??!! This place needs a lot of work!!!!

First of all it’s a National Park with great trails and it’s only $15/night to boondock. There are some narrow sites but there are also some nice wide spots! We found the other campers to be very friendly and eager to share stories. We got here about 11:15AM and had a wide choice of spots but as the day went on it filled up. it’s now 8PM and the last spot was taken. Happy Camping!!!

If you fish or boat, this park is a 5 Star. The lake is awesome and most sites have a beautiful view! The staff and camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers are fine. The bass fishing is supposed to be some of the best in the country! I will definitely bring my gear and a license the next time.
