This is a great secluded pine forest camping area very close to Pagosa Springs. We stayed here over July 4th weekend and it was never too busy where we were. The road In is gravel with a bit of washboard here and there. When you get past the rocky area on the right about 2 miles down, the road declines in quality quickly with many more ruts and much bigger dips. I would not recommend larger rigs go past this point. We did in our 45’ fifth wheel and barely made it, we did bottom out our jacks on one of the dips after this point so be aware.

There is plenty of room for all size rigs. We heard a few Ohv’s during our stay but nothing crazy. Lots of wildflowers, pines and deer. There are not really any views though, so if that’s what you’re looking for I’d go elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for a free and convenient camping area very near Pagosa, this is a winner! Free potable water and dump at the speedway further down 160, the one on Piedra does NOT have potable water. They do have a free dump and seem to be the busier of the two, we saw rv lines there every time we drove by while the other one had no lines. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Arrived here to dump and it was getting late so we requested to stay the night. Large gravel lot in the back which worked well for us. Pretty quiet nights rest for a truck stop. Free air, free dump, free overnight stay, what more can you ask for?

Beautiful area to stay a night. Archery range, water spigot and a couple spots for campfires. Lots of trees, birds sang to us in the morning. Very wet but gravel to maneuver on. Google maps tries to get you to turn into a field, keep going and turn on 708. Great cell reception on T-Mobile. We have a large 44’ toy hauler and had no trouble.

Great little park to spend the night with free electric hookups. We’re on our way to Colorado and this is a perfect stop along the way. Very thankful! Medium sized parking lot with numerous electric hookups. There is a nice park next to it with playground equipment and shade trees. The back of the lot has two fire pits with some big logs to sit around the fire. Small dog park and a dumpster on site make this a very convenient place to spend a free night. It is next to the train tracks but not terrible on the sound. A little wildlife nearby as well, saw a Fox and a couple rabbits on our walk. We parked our 45’ fifth wheel here no problem. Easy access, great stop.

Easy access for any size rig. Washboard gravel road pretty rough but not the worst. Many sites to choose from. Ours was at the end of a road overlooking the water. Gorgeous area, very quiet. A few other campers on the weekend but not much and they weren’t loud. The bugs though. Dang. So many flying insects. Thousands of gnats (not biting) many would get stuck on the screens and clouds of them when you step outside. Lots of houseflies and yellowjackets too. None of them bit or stung us but they were definitely a nuisance. I wouldn’t want to stay more than a few days for that reason alone.

Great cell on T-Mobile. Plenty of open skies for solar and starlink. Discover pass is required but I don’t think anyone ever checked ours.

We actually had a really nice stay here. Yes the sites are tight, but land is at a premium here. We had a pull thru site with full 50 amp hookups. Power worked great the whole time. The pool and hot tub were perfectly heated and all the pool furniture was really nice. There was also a really nice grill and table area for gathering. Bathrooms/showers all good. Game room was fun with a pool table, arcade games and such. We didn’t see any homeless while we were there, maybe they’ve increased security since previous reviewers experience? Being able to get packages delivered at no cost was a nice bonus, although they do not sign for anything and packages are left outside the office. We didn’t have any issues with that. The only downside for us is that it is right next to a commuter train and an intersection so it blares its horn every 15 minutes throughout the day and well into the evening. If you are sensitive to noise you may want to avoid this park, I would consider myself sensitive to noise but by the third day we were all used to it. Not a dealbreaker but something to be aware of. Otherwise great!

Be advised if you travel with children, no minors are on the property at all. Seems like a nice field to park in if we were able but there are a ton of goathead stickers in the RV parking area so lookout for your pets feet and don’t go outside barefoot!
