Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on September 11, 2023When I was researching camping at Quincy Lake, I didn't see the big graphic on the right side of the WDFW website that said a Discover Pass was required. When we arrived at 6pm, on a recent Friday we saw signs everywhere stating that we needed the pass. I went on the WDFW website looking for options and found that we could buy one at the local Ace Hardware and lucky for us, it was open until 7pm.
Once we got our pass, we drove halfway around the loop and found ourselves a lovely spot. There was lots of room to turn around and it was really very scenic. My only complaint is that the bullfrogs are really very loud all night long.
Our Verizon had 1 bar of extended and AT&T had 3 bars of 4G. It was a little slow and might be too frustrating for work, but would be acceptable for a couple days.

Beautiful campground with hiking, fishing, boating.
You need discover pass. Bathrooms are available but far apart so plan accordingly. Would deff stay again. Dusty Lake Trail is located here and worth the hike. Also close to Ancient Lakes.

Other lakes with in hiking is ancient lakes, h lake, blue lake...boats are allowed...very peaceful and clean...pit toilets are clean...felt safe no issues...as far as cell service it wasn't the best....I have verizon...best I got was 3g 1 bar off and on and my husband has Sprint ..no service. You won't be disappointed!!!

First off... I wish I was here for more then 1 day. I picked the first site on the left, since I am leaving tomorrow and it has plenty of room and nearly level right out of the gate. I had driven much worse washboard roads, so I will not criticize the drive once you turn off RD 5, except I almost missed the left turn off RD 5/White Tail. Look for N RD T on your left. ;)
It is so peaceful here and there is so much to explore. I love I don't need to worry about leashing my hound; she went straight into the lake. -lol
Internet access: I have one of those $30 Netgear 6000450 MIMO Antenna for my Verizon jetpack. It is facing SE it clocked 7 Mbps download. For my Tmobile MIFI it only clocked 1.27 Mbps

Easy to get to. Washboard roads but not bad if you take it slow. Beautiful and serene. The only drawbacks were trash that I picked up (southgate closed for this reason), windy and tons of yellow jackets. Honestly if it wasn't for the yellow jackets I would have stayed another night. I was worried my dog or I might get stung.

Roads are great, Our 33ft Montana will fit in just about all of the sites. A couple pit towelettes through the area. Main road has a big turn around at the end making it nice for big rigs. Verizon works grreat, the wife was about to work remotely with Verizon hotspot. Will be back with our kayaks to explore the area by water.

I this is my 2nd time staying here. Both times I have driven over and stayed in the same spot to go work in the area the next day then drive home. My 1st stay I spent 2hrs picking up trash from the 7/4 weekend( 2x garbage bags) this time only some micro trash.
A couple big rig locations
mostly clean
Beautiful sunsets

Free camping at Quincy Lake with a Discover Pass is administered by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. No matter what camping configuration, free camping at Quincy Lake with the Discover Pass offers a variety of camping options. In this video, I provide a walking tour of the Quincy Lake free camping area. T-Mobile cellular service clocked in at 4.52 Mbps download speed and 0.04 Mbps upload speed. Verizon and AT&T cellular service were 1 bar LTE, but a speed test failed for both carriers due to poor connectivity.

Easy access for any size rig. Washboard gravel road pretty rough but not the worst. Many sites to choose from. Ours was at the end of a road overlooking the water. Gorgeous area, very quiet. A few other campers on the weekend but not much and they weren’t loud. The bugs though. Dang. So many flying insects. Thousands of gnats (not biting) many would get stuck on the screens and clouds of them when you step outside. Lots of houseflies and yellowjackets too. None of them bit or stung us but they were definitely a nuisance. I wouldn’t want to stay more than a few days for that reason alone.
Great cell on T-Mobile. Plenty of open skies for solar and starlink. Discover pass is required but I don’t think anyone ever checked ours.
