My nightly fee reflects the Senior Interagency Pass discount.

Nice level site in this National Forest campground with gravel roads, clean and well maintained vault toilets. Make sure you stop at one of the hydrants to fill your RV fresh water. No frills at the site, however a nice newer table and fire ring. The host was exceptional, very friendly and accommodating.

I used this camp as my home camp for visiting the Grand Tetons and the Jackson Hole, Victor-Dillon area.

Road off the highway was gravel and in pretty good shape. A little intimidating for pulling a 32' fifth wheel, but arrived and departed with no issues. I used Google to get me here and it was reasonably close.

When arriving at Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Park it was noticeable that many campers here are full-time residents. The campground is behind some commercial buildings along PCH, a little hard to find. The campsites are nice, the campground clean with somewhat rustic pull troughs with grass. Full hookups were offered and it’s a stones-throw from the Pacific Ocean. Our site was 30 amp, they may have 50 also. If not it won't be long. A lot of investment seems to be going on here. They also have a few cabins to rent.

Close by are many destinations for a little sightseeing. The town of Eureka is nearby. Our visit included the historic Eureka Inn, the Woodland Harbor, historic Fort Humbolt and the Ingomar Private Club – Built 1885

This campground advertises 596 campsites, I would guess if it was fully opened and repairs were done it would be much more. Typical of Thousand Trails Campgrounds are older and bought in a state of disrepair. It would take millions to fully bring it up to date. Despite that, I like it here and will return next year.

I enjoy the setting in the middle of a seven thousand acres ranch. The Paicines Ranch was founded in the 1800s and is just beautiful. I found on my visit the hosts and associates were more than friendly and helpful. What facilities I have visited (that were open) were clean.

You can visibly see new repairs being done in a number of areas. Still, a lot of work is needed. The buildings, which were closed due to COVID seemed unkept, but I would expect that considering.

The grounds while a little better than my visit last year, still looked dead (I visited in Fall) but many trees had been removed or in the state of being removed. I am hoping my next visit will show even more improvement.

While this campground was beautiful, for me it had a couple of flaws. Many of the sites were pretty small and my fifth wheel is 32' long. Site 17 I would not recommend for a trailer my size, even though the website said it was long enough. If I didn't have 4 wheel drive, I would have never got in my site. Once in had a beautiful week. There are other sites here that would work for rig's my size. It's a very old National Forest park not laid out for big rigs.

The lake is only a short walk away and many hiking trail in the lust forest around the campground. Also Mammoth lakes is very close and many businesses are there to take your money (prices are a little high). The weekend was packed with people visiting along with the campers, which made the tight area even tighter.

As for site 17, it was a paved slab with tall, very old trees all around. Solar is doable, but only if you have a portable one you can move around. Basically you're dry camping, no utilities at the site. Water is available and rest rooms are older vault toilets. I didn't visit the shower in the main building, but one is available. There is a dump for a small fee for your RV.
