It was fun to camp at an All Airstream park, and having the concrete pads with trailer “port” made everything easier. Wish there was better signage at the fork on Antelope Hills Road. Apple Maps GPS sent us to a dead end in a farmers field where we had to back up and turn around. Mike then sent a text with instructions— after driving back into town and starting over; we made it. There’s a security gate on the property. Dumpster on the road. Swimming pool was not open in mid-April. No restrooms or showers. Convenient to town; we would stay again when visiting Marfa.

Angel Fire is the best of the best! Over Labor Day, from our unobstructed view of mountains, wildflower meadows and pine forest (site 704), we were serenaded nightly by elks bugling. The campground is meticulously landscaped and FULL of flowers (posting a photo because it’s unbelievable). From the Clubhouse, we enjoyed free afternoon snowcones and evening S’mores around the fire pit. Sign up to have waffles delivered to your doorstep for breakfast (free, again). Play Pickleball. Listen to live music. Soak in the hot tub. The place is authentically a resort, unlike any campground we’ve ever visited. And Angel Fire must be where they invented the name “Enchanted Circle”— because the valley is just magical.

Right in the middle of an emerald pasture, Coyote Keeth makes a very nice overnight. Grass & gravel, level campsites; full hookups, nice/new picnic tables. It’s not a resort, but we’re happy we stayed here on our way through the Midwest. Be prepared for a moderate amount of highway & railroad noise. Did not disturb our sleep.

This is a comfortable FHU campground with shade, a feature rare-enough in New Mexico. The town of Bloomfield is a poor community, so first impressions are off-putting. But after spending 2 nights at this park and visiting Navajo Lake to kayak, our visit and this campground “grew on us”. We had a level gravel campsite, with a shabby wooden picnic table and fire ring. Our site backed to a mobile home neighborhood. The bathhouse was clean and spacious, if dated. There was a pool up front near the office, although we didn’t use it. For a rig our size (27’ trailer) this is a vastly better option than Navajo State Park which had tiny spaces and tight curves within Pine CG (the lakeside option). But the lake and marina are terrific - twenty miles away. You will find few if any dining options In Bloomfield so plan accordingly.

This is a nice and simple campground- it’s a gravel horseshoe-shaped lot with 30amp electric sites, nicely spaced, hardly busy at all. Across the street is a free campground where campers were squeezed in like sardines with no hookups. For $25, go across the street to the Gift Shop and enjoy electricity & elbow room.
The campground is about 1/2 mile from the south entrance of Petrified Forest and the Rainbow Forest Visitors Center, accessable from Hwy 180. Although we did not, we could have towed our 27’ trailer through the National Park (28 miles from north to south). There’s lots of accommodation for RV parking throughout the NP.
Note that gas/diesel is 17 miles away in Holbrook AZ. There is no dump station at this campground to my knowledge.

We reached out to Mike as suggested about 5 miles outside of town and he was ON IT— met us outside the park and escorted us to a long, level pull-through. Even provided sewer hose so we didn’t have to drag ours out. This was everything we needed to make our overnight simple and easy.

We had a spectacular view of the Mesilla Valley from campsite #15 — looking out at the Organ Mountains by day and the twinkling lights of the city by night. The site was long and level; not too close to our neighbors. Lots of big rigs in this park. Office and gift shop were exemplary. Showers were clean.

This is a pretty little park with 10 back-in sites that face a green alfalfa pasture and white rail fence. Ours was #12 —not one of those campsites— but we had a pull-through with plenty of privacy and shade. This is a woman-owned business; Lee is very friendly and oversees park operations herself. Be aware that there can be some highway noise on 380- we found that it quieted down by 10pm. Nice Roswell home base while being close to town and only 12 miles from Bottomless Lake State Park.

Fantastic RV Park owned and operated by “the church” (assuming the Community of Christ, which has its imposing World Headquarters nearby). Secluded in the back of a parklike setting, green and leafy, with concrete pads, full hookups and newish picnic tables. Bathhouse was exemplary. 5 minutes from Truman Presidential Library. We were very pleased with this campground.

This park is like most other KOAs that we’ve seen. Lots of kids. A camping vibe, but with many nearby neighbors. Rustic. Dated. Folksy.
Our campsite B-2 was 3 inches off-level. Most sites in the park appeared to be sloping. Some cigarette butts. Some shade.
We used the bathhouse. Someone had left a cotton bath mat, shampoo and soap in the toilet/shower room. Perhaps the hosts being hospitable?
The park is east of town, and it took us 20-30 minutes to get downtown/Midtown/Arts District.
We felt kinda “meh” about this campground, and believe we didn’t get great value for $61/night.
