Very interesting place. Heard the place was haunted and it definitely has a creepy vibe. The museum is really nice with pictures and stories of some of the more colorful inmates. The employees are fun to talk to and share great stories about the prison's past. They were even setting up for a wedding to be held on the grounds after we left.

The Historic Gillespie Bridge was built in 1927 on Old US 80 Highway between Arlington and Gila Bend. It's a beautiful and quite long, old rusty bridge. The lanes are narrow and it's best to slow down when semi trucks are coming from the opposite direction. There is water under this bridge as it spans the Gila River. Not far from the bridge you can see where the river busted through the dam back in 1993. This makes for a nice day trip. There isn't much else around but you can walk down by the water and watch the white cranes wade around.

We found this place by accident. It was a nice little walk from the parking lot to this structure crossing over bridges. There was a nice little picnic area too.
