Historic Gillespie Dam Bridge

The Historic Gillespie Bridge was built in 1927 on Old US 80 Highway between Arlington and Gila Bend. It's a beautiful and quite long, old rusty bridge. The lanes are narrow and it's best to slow down when semi trucks are coming from the opposite direction. There is water under this bridge as it spans the Gila River. Not far from the bridge you can see where the river busted through the dam back in 1993. This makes for a nice day trip. There isn't much else around but you can walk down by the water and watch the white cranes wade around.

Can you say "Photo Op" this place was awesome. Bring a cooler or something to drink cause you will want to check out the old damn.
