A few nice premium sites and many average sites. Rather soggy after a heavy rain. Hook ups were in standing water. Train runs by the side of the park. There were 2 during the night. We camped at Cloquet / Duluth KOA Journey in a Motorhome.

tains the structures and yard art that you'll see around the main buildings. The Red Pine Brewery, a beer sampling room, is a great example of structured that Jeffery built. It's a wonderful spot to meet fellow campers from across the globe and sample their local brew. (Its open from 7pm to 9pm.) I was amazed at how many new acquaintances that I made within a few hours of arriving.
The campground makes a nod to the National Park system. The office is referred to as the Ranger Headquarters. The sites are nestled in around the trees like you would see in national park campgrounds. Just that there are 50 amp full hookup sites. The roads and site pads are a thin levrl of gravel over dirt. Typical if what I see a lot of in upper Michigan and the arrowhead of Minnesota.
The campground is old, so be prepared for well used picnic tables and fire pits. The laundry room and bathrooms are old, BUT are well maintained and clean. COVID and some health issues resulted in some poor reviews in the past years. Jeffrey's daughter and son inlaw have joined the team to help out. And things appeared to be running quite smoothly.
The location is convenient to both Marquette and Munising. There is beach access at a state park location right across the road from the campground. We camped at Gitche Gumee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy check in at the convenience at the burger cafe \ service station. Fairly level gravel sites. Grass in-between sites. Grass not weeds. Lots of flowers and nice yard art spread around.
Utilities worked good. Excellent T-Mobile signal. Was able to stream Netflix.
Minimal road noise.
Would recommend and stay again. We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Motorhome.

A very friendly check in experience. Sites are close by with utilities at the back end of the sites. That means I needed to use my 50ft hose and sewer extension. It also means I could sit at the nice picnic table and not be next to my neighbor's sewer. Grounds a VERY nicely maintained. There was a little chapel area. Nice grassy area to walk the dog. Highly recommend. We camped at Rustic Barn RV Park in a Motorhome.
