Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on July 22, 2023This is a clean RV Park with level, long sites (75 feet) located 0.25 miles from the I-80 exit. Electrical service is 50 and 30 amp. The park has a service station (with diesel), and convenience store. The owners claim to have the best burgers.....no dispute with their claim.
The only nuisance is noise from Interstate traffic.

We would not choose to stay here again, unless it is an emergency (i.e, better than a rest stop or truck stop). Although well rated on another RV park site, this park is rundown (i.e., grass appears to not have been mowed in months), site are very unlevel side to side -- leveling took quite a while and required numerous pieces of wood under one rear bigfoot (the bigfoot leveling arm was not long enough) and under two of the three tires on one side of the RV to level. The trees over the exit road appear to have not been trimmed in years and only were trimmed high enough for our truck to pass under ... thankfully no RVs were in any sites on the left side of this exit road when we departed, so we drove across the back end of those sites when exiting, missing the many low tree limbs. It looks like numerous RVs in the park are parked here for the longer term. There is noticeable highway noise, but that was expected based upon reviews and looking at the proximity of the campground to the highway on google earth. The positives are it is convenient to the highway, we fit in the site, no tree issue at least within our site--however the feeling of security was not alarming but at the same time was not warm and fuzzy ... if we had not arrived close to sunset, we would have departed and stayed elsewhere.

For our purpose this site was perfect we were just stopping for the night and needed something close to the highway and our site was level enough to where we did not have to unhook the trailer. I would not recommend it for much more it is surrounded by cornfield with not much to do.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend, 2020. Was the only area spot we could find for the weekend. Having said that, I would only recommend this Park for a quick, convenient one night layover if travelling on I-80. To me, that is the only appeal to this facility.
Overall, not a bad park by any means. Appeared to be clean and well-kept. Rest rooms were clean. The restaurant here does indeed have very good hamburgers. They are worth a try. The sites were long and level enough and the utilities worked as they should. There really isn't much of anything to do in this area.
The biggest complaint here is indeed the road noise, especially in the summer, when the prevailing wind is out of the south, as the campground sits just north of Interstate 80 and its all day and all night heavy traffic.
It worked for us in a pinch, but I don't think I would return here.

A nice little RV park off i80 with pull thru sites in mid-March. Full hookups, a convenience store, gas station and Iowa’s Best Burger Cafe. We were able to check in after dark and grab dinner for a nice evening after a long drive day. A bit of highway noise and close sites, but the Iowa landscape is really pretty as well.

This would be a great park if it was a mile or so from the freeway. Grassy areas, nice picnic tables, fire pits, trees at every site and flat gravel pull throughs. Cute kitschy decorations. But it is RIGHT on I-80 so lots of road noise all night. Bathrooms were clean, nothing special. Good for a stopover on your way somewhere else. And a note- the cafe attached to it either isn’t Iowa’s Best Hamburger place, or Iowa ought to be ashamed of itself.

Got a spot on the east end of the campground - these are the older ones it looks like and they have good shade trees. Sites are level and the park is very well maintained. The burger joint looks clean enough and smells good but the real surprise is the ice cream. Instead of the ice cream bars so many spots offer they have hand packed quarts of homemade ice cream in many flavors. Apparently they have them all year long. What a shock. Bough two just in case! It is close to the interstate so new aware that you do hear traffic throughout the night.

This is a nice little campground that we stayed at for one night during our most recent trips. This is a campground without a ton of amenities but it is a great spot to stop for a night or two along the way. All our interactions with the staff were very pleasant. Called to make a reservation and it was very easy. Check in to site was easy as well. We had a nice long pull through site that was plenty big for our 40' coach pulling a Jeep Gladiator. Restaurant that was adjacent had good food an excellent ice cream. Overall this is just a solid, clean, spot to stop for a night or two.

Kellogg RV Park is a cute little campground with some very nice touches...I'd recommend it and would stay here again with one big caveat. So the bad first...there's a big variation in site size/quality here, even though all the sites are the same price. All of the sites are fairly close, but sites #1-15 are VERY narrow (though fairly long) and some are tricky to get into/set up in due to trees and other obstructions. We were in site #2, and it was one of the worst...we had a huge tree right outside our door on one side and an inconveniently placed sign on the other side right against our slide (which we couldn't pull past because there was ANOTHER big tree just in front of our slide). We had very close neighbors on both sides (see pictures). I think we got stuck in this site because we have a relatively small trailer; there's no way a motorhome or 5th wheel with multiple slides would have fit. So I was a little resentful about paying the same price but getting such a cramped site. Sites 24-38 are very standard pull-throughs, still fairly narrow but much wider than our site was, with no trees. If I were staying again, I'd ask to be in that section (and make sure I wasn't put in site 2!)
Aside from that, this place has a lot going for it: clearly they've put a lot of love into it--there's some nice landscaping and common areas (while there was no room for hanging out in our site, there were several fire pits for common use with seating areas around them), adorable paintings on all the buildings, and a gas station with a good burger/ice cream restaurant at the front of the campground. Chickens in a little hutch in the back (and a rooster, which didn't bother us, but might have bothered the people in the back row). Bathhouse was newer and very clean--my only complaint there was no private changing area for the showers--just a thin curtain, so that I felt like I was walking into someone's bathroom at their house when I went in there while someone was showering. We were here for 2 nights while my son toured Grinnell, which was only about 15 minutes away. Note that they charge more when there are events at the nearby Iowa Speedway. Very convenient to the interstate (road noise didn't bother us, but we were at one of the sites farther from the road), all full hookup pull through sites.
