I’m going to echo previous reviews by saying it’s an OK place to stop over. Facilities are kind of run down but the people are nice. Bathrooms definitely need updating, didn’t feel safe taking a shower. Stayed in dry camping area after dumping. Dump is $10, shower is five dollars dry camping $15 and includes both dump and shower so just paid to dry camp. Office is closed on weekends so it’s self registration.

Here during midweek and no reservation. Weekend reservations recommended. Dry camping, free dump and potable water. No outside firewood allowed. No alcohol allowed. Pets allowed in campground but not on trails. Free showers. Staff friendly and helpful. Fire ring and picnic tables at sites. Sites small but spread out. Equine camping avail. Small tack and feed store nearby, small country store nearby. Verizon cell service between 1-2 bars in campground. Nearby city (5miles) has lots of shopping and dining options.

Here mid October and the place is practically empty which is awesome. Stayed 2 nights on way to Yellowstone. No views but the river is close and you can walk for miles. Lots of open green space, picnic tables and fire rings at every site. Full hookups $25 a night with 14 day limit. Lots of space between sites, lots of pull through sites, tent camping avail. Bathrooms with free showers. Off beaten path so not any road noise really. 2 bars on Verizon LTE.

Expensive. But almost all California parks are expensive. It’s OK mostly dirt surrounding the lakes. Just outside of city. Check in people were very nice. Facilities clean and well maintained. Day use area looks very nice, however no dogs allowed in day use area. Dogs only allowed in campground
