On another site this hotel had decent reviews but those people had to have been lying or have really low standards. The room was gross. The sheets had burn marks, the top blanket had stains and who knows what else on it. It looked like the hotel either is waaaaay short staffed in the cleaning department or they just don’t care.

The location of this KOA is beautiful! It’s right on the river and surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It’s an hour from the North Entrance to Yellowstone. We stayed in a camping cabin and it was clean but well-used. The bathrooms were a bit gross unfortunately. The bathrooms were older and have not been maintained too well. The floor of one flooded and was covered in mud and the other had dirt and mildew all over the shower curtain.

The next time we return to this site, we’ll probably stay in a RV.

We were lucky enough to get to stay in the brand new camping cabin. It was so nice!! The bathrooms and showers were just redone and are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the area is beautiful. We were only staying for one night but have this KOA marked down as somewhere for us to return to for a longer visit. The jumping pad (inflatable thing in the ground) was really fun for my kids and they loved the playground.

We had never stayed in a KOA Camping Cabin before but we’re pleasantly surprised. It’s not a brand new cabin but it was clean, the bathrooms were clean, and it wasn’t far from Sioux Falls Park. It is right next to the freeway so if you are a light sleeper that may be a problem. Overall, my family and I would stay there again.

The memorial is very beautiful and explains each of the wars that are represented in the Memorial. Not far from the memorial is a playground. My girls (7&3) LOVED this playground. It’s made out of wood and composite decking. It looks like a fort with bridges, a climbing wall, a tiny tots area, a sand area with dump trucks, and a lot more. My kids did not want to leave and I was incredibly impressed by the layout, activities, and cleanliness.

I loved visiting this memorial as a teenager. The museum is fun and it's in a beautiful location for just walking around.

This is a place that you just have to go see if you're in the area. You'll have to pay for parking but it's not too bad to find a lot that does hourly parking. The Kodak Theater area is nicer and has shops you can visit. The most popular area is near Grauman's Chinese Theater. There will be a ton of people looking at the stars and the handprints. There's always some weird character's on the blvd, they will charge you to take pictures with them. Further away from the theaters it does smell like urine and there are homeless people, most of them won't bother you but this is definitely not a place you want to hang around at night.

This is my favorite place in St. Charles. The cobblestone streets are fun, the shops look like the did back when it was originally built and there is so much history. The whole area is fun to walk around, get some ice cream, and just enjoy looking at the architecture. They do a lot of activities throughout the year so check with the City of St. Charles for upcoming events.

The lake has a great bike trail going around the lake. This was one of our favorite places to ride our bikes and just hang out. It's busy in the summer so be prepared to search for parking. You can boat, there's some swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, picnics, and just nice areas to sit and relax.

The mounds are great to see and the museum inside is worth going through. My children (6 and 2) had fun. The only warning is that if you decide to climb the mounds, it's quite a lot of stairs so be prepared.
