This place is popular with the locals, who enjoy picnics at the picnic tables scattered below the rocks in the shade. You have to hike a mile in to see the cool red granite "elephant rocks" all in a line. It's definitely worth the walk, which is easy paved path and wheelchair accessible. The rocks at the top are unbelievably huge! I didn't really know what to expect walking in, but it was well worth the 20 miles we drove off route to get there.
This place is so peaceful. You can drive down into the middle of the desert and hear the silence. Take plenty of water if you go to visit.

I dined in the plane last fall on homemade meatloaf. It was heavenly! Owners really care that you have an enjoyable time. It was fun to sit in the plane and eat and talk with friends.
