Loved this place!! The people are so friendly and it is very clean!! Shuttle to the park.

This place does not exist. I drove all the way here over 2 and a 1/2 hours to get here and it's an apartment complex
My initial impression was a bad one. I arrived about 4:20 and couldn't find it. I sat down the road and called to get better directions and got an answering service who could care less about my situation. She said she would notify the proprietors to call me but I never heard from anyone. The sign is very small and I had people honking at me for driving so slow until I found it. The rv site is TINY!! I can't even put out my awning entirely because it is within inches of the rv beside me!! No table or grill or fire pit at my site. Not enough room to put my table and chairs out. Considering it is almost double what I have paid for other campgrounds I was very disappointed, even though it is right on the lake. Then I got out and walked around and realized that what we are paying for is the common area. Sparkling clean baths (private toilet and shower) which are ultra modern, a gym, a theater, a large pool with "party" area and a huge deck with chairs on the lake. If you are looking for a fancy common area and don't care about cooking or eating at your site, this is your place.

The staff was great. The shuttle to town was convenient and Roberta (who walked my dog) was awesome. It is a long way from the French Quarter (Uber is about $35) so unless you want to take the shuttle and spend 8 hours in New Orleans (plus the 45 minute drive down and back) I suggest renting a car. Unlike most of the KOA's I have been to, they had no grill or fire pit and only one bath house. But they did have a picnic table at each site. The rv sites were large. Plenty of room for the entire family. I will be staying there again on my way to Tennessee.
The spaces were nice. No grill, but the staff was pleasant, the grounds were clean, the pool was spacious and it is within walking distance of just about anything. Great restaurants, shops, convenience stores and of course the beach which had live bands and great atmosphere. We will be back for sure!!
I wish I had more time to spend there. Just the cutest place ever. And the mushroom swiss burger was the best I ever had!!
