This is not a destination place but if you are traveling through, not bad. We couldn’t make a reservation but the lady on the phone guaranteed there would be room and boy was there. Once we found the place (don’t trust Google) there was no one to greet us, only a sign as to what to do. We didn’t realize we would need cash or a check. For us, challenging. It was not a pretty site but then, violá, we found the Colorado River and access for the dog. Dogs were enjoying running around and swimming at the beach. For us, this was a gift after a long day of travel. We sat on the beach and our dog played. Good enough! Nothing more, nothing less, just a parking lot with a river.

Close to Point Reyes if you are interested in hiking. Dogs are very limited as there are few beaches and trails available. At this time, many restaurants are closed during the week so limited Monday- Wednesday. The campground was level, spacing was ok. Tent areas and RV areas. Felt smaller than what it was. The only negative is that there was a lot of machinery throughout the day. 2 times a day the water down the roads with a truck that has really loud, squeaky brakes, starting at 8:00 AM. We will come back but will be more aware of what is open in the area.

We are not big KOA users but needed a place to do laundry, dump, fill up propane, relax and feel at ease to go and explore. This our needs. The only reason we didn’t give it a 5, it’s a KOA. 🤷‍♀️ They have made and are making a lot of improvements. Our site was perfect for our small trailer. We had space, privacy, ATT and WiFi. It is about a 15-20 minute drive into town and pretty much anywhere. Highly recommend the Cafe Fina down the road. (Dogs allowed too.) It was a good stay.

$78 is an expensive RV reservation. When you can’t stay and you lose the reservation, it hurts. Be sure when you make a reservation, you can cancel it if needed. I am kicking myself hard. My fault for not understanding the conditions.

By all the reviews, we thought this campground would be off the beaten path. About 3 miles from highway 14, on a rural residential street, we found the location to be just right. I’m the middle of everything you might want to do, easy store access, restaurants within an easy drive.

The campground could use some
Maintenance. The sites were be very dirty. Dirty foundation, not raked or picked up. Table needed a room and bucket. I level- 3 blocks on one side and still uneven. 4 wheel drive needed to park. Sites are tight!! Privacy isn’t bad due to foliage.

No Wi-Fi. Limited cell.

Quiet. Nice atmosphere. Just wish a little more maintenance was provided with the higher fees.

We have been to this property several times before, but it just has a different field to it. The office isn’t open other than a small window. There is no place to buy basic necessities. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work. Premium site without a sitting area. What once was grass is now weeds with dead branches laying all over the grounds. Many dead trees on the premises. Many people are living there now. It just has a different feel to it. New owners or tired owners?

Chose this on a whim. We are not much for RV parks but it was hot. Decided we needed some air conditioning. What a little gem we found. Right on the river and it is a river that can be used. Small park keeps it intimate and clean. The hosts are right there with you so easy to get help if needed. A small tree on every site helps with shade. Great big flat concrete pads. Bathrooms/showers are spotless. Pricey!! The most we have ever paid. Almost $100 for one night!! The property is small and there is a busy road above you, leaving no place to walk. We missed that.

This is our type of place. Wide open sky and grounds. Respectful, quiet guests. History. Wild donkeys and rabbits. Nothing fancy, just your basic needs fulfilled. Very happy with our stay.
