Price reflects Passport America discount.

Let me start with the negatives first. There was little to no cell service ATT or Verizon. The park is about 6 miles from I5. First 3 miles are very easy, next three miles the road is paved but a little rough. There are a couple tight turns - just take your time.

This park has full hook ups with concrete pads. Sites were very nice and level. All sites are nose in first. This was a first for us but provided great views of the river.

We sat out in the evening watching birds, ducks, geese and river otters. Very quiet and relaxing!

I can image in the summer this place could be hopping. Fishing, kayaking and floating just out your door.

A perfect place to stop when in between Oregon and California. One of our favorite towns, Ashland, OR is a 30 minute drive away, allowing us to indulge at Ruby's and stock up at the Ashland Food Co-op.

The road going to the park is a bit rough, so we took it slow and rode in the middle much of the way. The park itself is very well maintained with green grass and concrete everywhere, and of course great views of the river.

The only regret is not setting up a tripod and getting some pictures of the amazingly clear and bright night sky...

We decided last minute to leave our previous place in Oregon 1 day early and I left a vm and asked if we could arrive 1 day earlier. I was contacted right back with a resounding yes. Boy we were glad we got the extra day here. Wish we could have stayed at least 1 more.

Absolutely beautiful. Afternoon breeze was heaven. Sitting by the river was perfect. Listening to that amazing sound is so healing. Watching the dragon flies and birds was just great.

The wild horses or domestics that got loose some time ago came to visit each day we were there. Our first night the owners came flying up on their golf cart to point out the horses nightly visit so we did not miss it. They were out early the morning we left and that was nice to see them grazing.

Would absolutely come here again and do the river this time. They provide a shuttle for your vehicle for a small fee to where you want to exit the river down below.

This place is definitely a place of pride for the relatively new owners getting close to a year of ownership. And they have a list of things they are going to add and update but is lovely as is! The drive from the 5fwy was not long and a bit brown where is was not irrigated but it was like arriving at an oasis when we reached Blue Heron RV PArk. Beautiful and green.

The wifi was fine. No cell service but if your phone will do wifi calling it worked great for me. The camp host gave me the heads up and it was all good.

Let's see if there was one thing that was not quite perfect..... the trees on our site could have been taller. hahahaha So that will come in time.

First night is half price with Passport America. $2 fee for dogs.

Pros:
- Reasonably fast and reliable free wifi worked great for our digital nomad lifestyle
- Directly located on an active river for rafting, kayaking, and fishing
- Plenty of lounge chairs located all around camp and a nice gazebo with best sunset views
- Genuinely friendly staff that keep the park well maintained and make everyone feel like they are part of a warm, friendly community
- Truly peaceful - there is absolutely no annoying noise, just the babbling river, chirping birds, geese, and crickets, and the occasional truck passing through with a trunk full of rafting tubes and tubers
- Local pizza shop ROCKS too - very generous with toppings on a delicious crust... worth a try!
- Fridge and Freezer are stocked with emergency essentials and tasty treats, with easy cash payment through an honor box in the laundry room

Cons:
- ABSOLUTELY NO CELL SIGNAL (Verizon or T-Mobile)
- Geese poop often found near the riverbeds (this is unavoidable, but less than desirable)
- Nearest non-convenience stores are 20+ minutes away... be sure to come prepared

My wife and I stayed there on our 35th wedding anniversary and were able to use Passport America on a Thursday. When we arrived, we were taken to a beautiful river view site and handed a bottle of Zinfandel compliments of management.
What a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We highly recommend this campground.

This place has it all. Worth the price. Very well kept. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. No fire pits bring your own gas one. The sits are all big and have clean level concrete pads. Fish right off your site. Great wi-fi. No noise except the sound of the river.

Hidden gem along the Klamath River. Friendly hosts, clean facilities, sites were not too tight and did I say perfect stay? We’ll definitely be back.

Blue Heron RV Park is a very beautiful park right next to the Klamath River. The only downfall is it’s about 6 miles off of interstate five, part of the road was windy and in poor condition. Stayed in site number 17. The bathrooms were in very nice condition and very clean. The park is quiet and other than the distance from interstate five and the cost, it’s a beautiful place to stay. The cost was $70 per night for a riverfront site.
Saw a blue heron, ducks, geese, killdeers.

Location – The campground is located about 6 miles east of I-5. The good news is that campground is located in a rural area with a wonderful setting along the Klamath River. So if you are fishing or floating the river there is an activity to keep you occupied. Otherwise, because of the rural location there is not a lot to see and do. Sometimes this is a good thing, but we prefer to have a town or hiking trails nearby. We had neither here so we felt isolated and bored at times. The wild horses were a treat to see. They frequently roam around the campground.

Access – The road to the campground is a county road that needs some work.

Cleanliness - The staff are working from 6:00 AM until evening to keep the park clean. The hosts and maintenance crew really work hard at keeping this place in excellent condition.

Site Quality – The sites are concrete with most sites facing the river. There is no vegetation between sites for privacy but there was adequate spacing between sites. We did not have a Verizon signal in the campground. The free campground WiFi provides 1 Mbps download speed. We paid $12.00 for one week of upgraded WiFi which provides 3 Mbps download.

Noise - The campground was very quiet. I will mention that you may want to avoid the site 18 and 19 area if you don't want to listen to the thump, thump, thump of kids playing basketball. The basketball goal is beside site 19.
