WARNING MOSQUITO invasion! I am use to mosquitos but OMG I have never seen swarms like this. I was on a 2 week tent camping trip and had to leave right after arriving due to the number of mosquitos. They were in the car for hours and it took us the rest of the day to smash them and get them all out of the car even with all the windows down. No amount of bug spray or incense worked. Not a place for tent campers but might be okay for RV if you don't plan to get out.
Never ever again. Worst camp site I have ever stayed at and I have done a lot of tent camping all over the country. First of all the manager was extremely rude.. I was tempted to leave without paying due to her insults. Right after I paid her for the site she started insulting me and talking to us like we were something she stepped in.. rude bitch. There is no hot water at all, none of the sinks work, only 3 out of the 27 tent sites had a view, you sleep on broken up blacktop (not grass or dirt), three showers in a dark dirty shed for the entire campsite, one toilet with no light or toilet paper (bring a flashlight and toilet paper). Beware faulty dangerous live wires in the bathrooms. I hope someone gets electrocuted and the place gets closed down. Worst campground I have ever stayed at. This place needs shut down. I choose this place because of the high ratings but those ratings need updated.

Beautiful beach, perfect for walking. On a clear day can see Long Island in distance and across to Stonington, CT. Often see seals basking in the sun. Several osprey nests have been built along the beach. Quiet, out of the way spot.
