If you are a mountain biker you already know this is a great campground. But I don't bike and I love it too. Clean park with friendly hosts. Lots of grassy areas. Backs up to Marjorie Carr Greenway where you can walk or do a leisurely bike ride for miles. Florida Trail passes on side of campground too for off road hiking. Lots of restaurants nearby and great antique shops close by too. Great campground for tents or RVs. Lots of shade.

Today was our second visit here (last one was in 2017) and we really enjoyed it again! Take the 30 minute boat tour to learn about the river and the historical buildings along its banks. The dining options are pricey but with such a beautiful view we found it worth it.
Such an interesting historical site. We didn't pay for any of the extras and still had a great experience. There's an informative movie and plenty of signs to read to get the full history. The costumed interpreters were awesome and there is a great gift shop too.
Very clean park located close to San Antonio. Owners are so helpful and kind. Laundry was clean, sites are well maintained, and it's very quiet. No playground for kids but they do have a small dog park!
Great ice cream at only $1 for a very generous scoop. The observation deck to see down to the factory floor closes at 2. Our only complaint was that the young lady reading her book in the museum information desk wasn't very interested in helping us. We had to ask very specific questions to find out where to go and what to do and she put her head down to read between each question.
We did the trailway on our e bikes and really enjoyed it. The rangers in the office were helpful with routes for us. We didn't camp here but did look at the campgrounds and they were beautiful! Private sites. May not be great for big rigs. We only found a few that we thought would work for our 44 foot 5th wheel.
Beautiful Corps of Engineers campground. Lots of deer . Lake view was gorgeous-especially with sunsets. Clean and spacious.
Very interesting. The exhibits are informative and there are enough hands on things to keep kids interested. The tram rides included with admission take you to the astronaut training facility and to see one of the Saturn rockets. They tell you about some of the buildings that you pass that are currently used by NASA. We paid extra to take the tram to Mission Control. This one may not be interesting to the kids but we enjoyed it. We ate on site and the food wasn't bad. We spent from opening to closing time including a short time in the gift shop.
Beautiful park with nice campground. It is very remote with no restaurants or groceries nearby. The nature center is only open on Saturday and Sunday.
Everything in the park is brand new since they have now rebuilt from hurricane damage. New roads, new campsites, new cabins, etc. The campground has no trees but we were there in January so it wasn't a problem. Nice trails to walk.
