This is the place for the tweed-wearing outdoorsman. The mercantile is handsome and the restaurant and bar around the corner are stellar too.

We had such a fabulous stay in Ely at the Blue Heron and our hosts were so warm and made us feel so at home. Enjoy a canoe ride on the gorgeous lake where the B&B is located or check out the adorable town. We also got engaged while on our trip in magical Ely and so will be coming back in years to come!

I love the bright colors and summer surf décor in here. The drinks are delicious and the mezcal mule and margaritas with extra spice are the real deal.

On summer night in the city, cool off here. It's a low key bar with decently priced glasses of wine and beer, and happens to be floating right in New York harbor. Great views and great breeze.

BYOBB: Bring Your Own Bath Bubbles. Our handsomely designed room boasted a four legged bathtub right in the middle of the room. As a native New Yorker, it was actually my first opportunity to stay in a hotel. The neighborhood is very well located, close to downtown and amazing places like Eataly, and easy access to uptown as well for sightseeing around Central Park.

This store was down the street from my place in Cobble Hill and was always my first go-to when looking for gifts out-of-towners—so many cool things made in Brooklyn. Sometimes, we left with locally made gifts for ourselves too!

My fiancé and I are on a road trip from New York to California and crossed through the Black Hills of South Dakota as part of our travels. The Wildlife Loop in Custer State Park is a must see! The experience takes about 45-minutes and we drove in hoping to see a buffalo or a prairie dog. We saw at least 40 buffalo—herds of them grazing right up to the road. Wild donkeys come right up to your car. It was exhilarating and incredible. The Needles highway which takes you down to the loop from Hill City is also really impressive. Take a walk break and hike Sylvan Lake on your route down. Check out more from the whole experience on my blog.

My fiancé and I are on a road trip from New York to California and stayed at the Mount Rushmore KOA during our time in the Black Hills. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen... anywhere, and it had one of the most well-stocked welcome centers I have ever come across. As we both work from the road the WiFi was not quite as strong as we needed it to be, but Hill City just up the road was a really cute town where we could plug in and connect. Check out more from our stay by checking out our blog.
