We stayed here when we were checking out Mount Rushmore, Hill City and Crazy Horse. They might have the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever seen. The WiFi didn't work great for us, which was only a problem because we work on the road — however Hill City was only a short drive with some cool cafés to work from.
Enormous venue! Springfield’s only spirit house and serves up some very tasty cocktails.
I love this place! Delicious cocktails, beautiful liquor library behind the bar plus great live music.
Commercial Street is full of great food including Peruvian and Lebanese, and another favorite cafe of mine, Eurasia Coffee & Tea.
Hotel Vandivort is a stunning boutique hotel renovated from an old theater. The hotel features sleek design and modern amenities while retaining exposed brick walls and high ceilings. You don’t need to be a guest to enjoy the bar and small restaurant whipping up delicious cocktails made with Coffee Ethic cold brew and rangoon made with goat cheese. Enjoy one of the long working tables or a glass of wine by a large fireplace in the lobby.
Grayson Home is one of the most beautiful home stores I’ve ever set foot in, with a scattering of vintage menswear, candles and artisanal soaps among their incredible furniture pieces for the home.
For the men out there, competitive beard trimming is real. These guys also have a members only underground bar accessed through a secret door, where you can stash you personal, private booze collection in your very own cabinet.
Park Central Square is at the heart of Downtown Springfield and home to great shopping, cafes, and amazing bar/restaurants such as Scotch & Soda and The Golden Girl Rum Club.
The splendor of Big Sur is no secret. The steep climbs and overlooks in Big Sur are cinematic in their glory. It's easy to find resting seals along the shoreline.
Just beyond the stretches of the industrial fishing town of Half Moon Bay is Maverick’s Beach. Maverick’s Beach, or more accurately, about two miles off shore from Maverick’s are ocean waves which changed the California surfing scene forever. In 1975, local Jeff Clark paddled out alone at the age of 17 to ride waves that topped out at 24 feet. In fact, the waves routinely top out at over 80 feet after a winter storm.
