Absolutely the best place to camp with a cover to park your RV under which is a bonus since you sit out in the sun. Lovely view of the Chisos mountains. Quiet, great desert walks and sunrises and sunsets. Right next to Ghost Town in Terlingua. Beware if you want to eat at Starlight or almost any other restaurants on the weekend its a 2-3 hour wait. Some of the smaller places out of Terlingua not so bad. And besides we hated to leave our campsite as it was so nice to eat at camp. Definitely will stay here if we come back!!!!!

This campground is need of lots of TLC. Lots of big rocks, limbs on the ground. Has a great view of the mountain if you are on the part of the campground that is in the back. Nice cottonwood trees. Ok for stop over for one night.

We were headed to Big Bend and this is a wonderful place to stay. We had a pull through site that is perfect as we were towing a car. The owner was so nice and the pool was wonderful as it was 99 degrees outside when we arrived. Bathrooms were so clean which we appreciated with Covid even though we had our vaccines. Also has a birding trail with a bird blind with chairs to watch birds. Some road noise but not enough to keep us awake. Perfect place to stay!

Absolutely a beautiful campground!!!
Warning for RV campers!!
Our camper is 24 feet long and we had to to use a lot of levelers on our site, we barely fit. There are only 2 other sites 1 & 3 are the only other 2 sites for a 19 foot plus camper or RV. The rest of the sites are short and very Un-level!!!
Other than that it is a fabulous campground!!
Sporadic Verizon cell coverage!

This is a wonderful campground very quiet! Lovely walk on Lake Superior right from campground.
We have a 24 foot Class B and site 9 was good a little unlevel. Sites 7 & 11 would have been better for us.
This is really a tent campground we fit just fine! Pit toilets only. No cell coverage till out of park and we have Verizon.

We had a reservation at this campground was mostly full time campers stacked right next to each other and they have an area in the back of the campground that is for travelers. It was grassy and in level and no trees and stacked right next to each other. I wouldn’t even stay here for an overnight. We left and went to the local park Crown Point and was so much better and the lighthouse memorial at the campground was excellent with a big covered fishing pier. No electricity but is nice. A lot of these sites open with no trees but a nice place to spend the night.

This is a jewel of a campground in the middle of a city.
Our site was perfect and any of the sites against the plane are so nice. Ours was the last one on loop so great.
The walks are great around the campground. We were passing through and was perfect and easy to get to.

Campsites are close together. We had site 14 and all the sites in the opposite side of of our row is better as they are against the woods and I thinks have more space between the sites. Nice bathrooms and trails to walk out of campground and close to so kayaking. Only bad part is I have I stayed at al lot of campgrounds and on the weekend we were there I have never heard so many barking dogs ever!!!! By Monday the campground only had 6 campers with no dogs and was great. I would stay there again but not on the weekends for to the dogs and hopefully we just hit it on a bad time for dogs. Other than that it is a lovely campground!!
