Amazing spot. First come first serve. $10 with the most difficult drive in ever. Rocks and narrows, dips and my car axle probably just about snapped but it's so worth it if you have a truck or suv. Not recommended for RVs even though I saw them there. Turn off your generators too!
Went there alone. Had a blast. Must have sat on the 2nd floor of the saloon for an hour. 3 sasparills in, I'd had my fill.

HIKE THE NOTCH TRAIL! That is all.
Cheers and be careful, have some solid ankle support. Rigs
Best campground ever! Free, extremely off the beaten path. Nice sunrise, great people.
Bring plenty of water and don't forget the sunset at middle up, 200ft mile hike.
Met so many great friends here just by helping set up tents. Bring your own toilet paper, trust me.
Cheers, Rigs
Great for RVs. Not for tents. Didn't like that there is no scenery and you're right next to a busy road. Might as well been camping on the interstate. For an RV, it gets a 4.
Cheers, Rigs
Nice spot. Fills fast though. Only thing I didn't like is the loud kids screaming at each other in RVs all around me. I'd rather spend my time at a tent-only spot like Jennys lake, which was full by 7:30am
100% recommend you come here. The grounds fill up fast, only like 10 spots but you can find a nice hill to spot up for the night!
Climb the boulders first then finish the tower trail. Be careful and check for loose rocks before committing. Must see. Nice people. High tourist count.best photo op on east side of tower where you get more forest.
Cheers, Rigs
Incredible stop for my 6,000 mile journey. This was my 800th mile and by far the most beautiful.
Loved our stay here! Colleen is so sweet and welcomes you to a nice plot for you to set up. There are showers, individual bathrooms. Also your personal bonfire pit, picnic table, power at your spot, fresh well water and firewood for cheap. Beautiful scenic drives and friendly perma-campers on site.
