The mosquitoes were terrible! We couldn't eat outside, we could hardly walk to the bathroom without having long pants and shirts on. Most sites have electric, first come first serve and fills up by 9:30 am, we got one of last sites, maybe that is why it was so bad. We have a short vehicle (18') and we barely fit (un-level too)! It was so small our picnic table was on neighbor's site. They do have showers, didn't use for $5 7 minutes and laundry.

Some sites have a great view (if you manage to get our) but that can't make up for all the other negatives! We looked at Colter Bay and we stay here next time.

Drove in aroubd 8am and luckily was able to snag an electric site for a couple of days. During thr summer months, sites were filled by 9 or 10am. Was surprised at how expensive it was but didnt want to try to fight to find another site until our reserved site at Colter Bay was ready.

Proved to be a good base camp to start hikes and explore nearby Jenny Lake. Site needed some leveling and roads were a little narrow but theres laundry, gas and a convenience store nearby.

We stayed in site 66 in the non-electric, non-generator loop. Site was pretty small and fairly level. The best part about staying on the outside of the loop is all the "non" official trails leading the the lakes edge and watching the sunsets. Be bear aware as we stopped mid day to drop off things and found a mother black bear with 2 cubs in the site next to us just wandering through the campground. The staff reacted quickly and had an added presence that night. Very expensive for dry camping, but great location and great views.

We stayed here for the night and the views were amazing! Highly recommend. Campsites were close together but it was still quiet at night.

We stayed here for three nights and had site 48 non electric. We used our generator during the allowed hours. Sites could be close but trees were abundant. Sites were small. We found a site to accommodate our suburban and 25’ trailer side by side. I don’t think I’d take anything bigger. We even had a trail off our site that leads to Jackson lake with gorgeous views of the Tetons!

This campground is in a beautiful part of the country with snow capped Tetons framing the views. We camped in late June and the mosquitoes were pretty bad. Site #9 was perfect. Pay showers were clean. Easy access. Most sites have trees and plenty of privacy.
Downside is the first come first serve policy, as people can get a little aggressive hunting for a site or trying to grab your site as you leave. Also, the camp store was absolutely insanely overpriced. Make sure you get EVERYTHING you need before you get there...it cost $7 for a half gallon of milk!
Verizon service wasn’t great, but a short walk to the camp store allowed us to briefly check messages.

We had a great site that was one of the bigger sites available that was non-electric. Site 44 had a trail that went out to the lake with a spot to walk down to the water. It was a steep hill but my kids went up and down it with ease. It is right next to site 43 with nothing but a log separating the sites. Great if you’re camping next to someone you know. Bathrooms were clean. Big bear boxes right at each site. I would occasionally receive a text on Verizon but service was mostly non-existent.

After boondocking for several days, we decided to “spring” for electric and showers. Very difficult to find a level site and the sites are VERY close to each other. Folks looking for spots start circling at 7-8am to see who’s leaving. Most vacancies are filled by 10am. Note that showers are extra. Purchase tokens in laundry room for showers and laundry. The good - great location for kayaking and swimming. We found a little beach at the end of a path through the woods. Spent the day there boating and swimming. Picnic tables at each site are set on a level, gravel pad which was nice. Wouldn’t stay again. Overpriced for size and quality of sites.

We stayed in mid August, 2019. The campground is very easy to find. We got our electric only site for sake in the morning but there are plenty open later on Late morning. Are used my husband senior pass for the rate. Our site was very large and trees and brush or between each side. There is a fair amount of road traffic in the morning as people look for their sites, but after that, it is very quiet. It’s a very short walk to the lake which is just gorgeous. Picnic table is up on a flat open surface and was nice for sitting outside. There is a lot of shade at just about every site. Showers cost six dollars for seven minutes But was he time can easily be shared.
Very dog friendly. The staff at the park for a fantastic and extremely helpful. We added the fourth night with ease.
Cell service is minimal, but you can get free Wi-Fi at the lodge. We definitely would stay here again.
