GREAT place to stop. The owner is very nice and is willing to show you things that are specific to your interests and take photos for/with you.
Good food with great staff. There's a nifty shop and two seating rooms with different vibes.
It was very nice, and the information and art were interesting. However the observation deck was closed when we got there and I'm not sure if it is open to the public.
Great place to stop and look around. There is a lot of history behind this spot. Off to the left of the parking lot there is an incredible taqueria called "Molly's Tamales". I highly recommend taking a few minutes to relax and enjoy their delicious tacos.
The museum is extremely well designed and was a pleasure to visit. Lots to see and there is a great view from the top of Monk's Mound if it is a clear day.
You need tokens to operate the dragon, but it is very cool. If the hardware store is closed you can get them from the liquor store.
