December 16th, 2020: RVer report confirms reports from Feb & Mar 2019, & info provided by US Fish & Wildlife Service. Dispersed camping is allowed. No designated campsites, no hookups, no water, no amenities. Camping prohibited within 1/4 mile of water. Campfires allowed; USF&WS recommends bringing your own firewood, as their regulations allow use of dead, down, and detached wood. Uprooting dead stumps, trees, and bushes is forbidden. In addition, dead wood may only be collected from areas on the refuge that are not designated as wilderness. Maximum stay: 14 nights in any 12-month period. 2019 rate: Free. Directions
From US 95, turn E on Palm Canyon Rd & go ~ 3.3 mi. At this point you enter Kufa National Wildlife Refuge. The road continues ~ 3.8 mi further to a small gravel parking lot. This road is recommended for smaller RVs only, as there are few places for larger RVs or RVs towing to turn around.
