“sharing the stories of Tuskegee's remarkable history”
Welcome to the Tuskegee Human and Civil Rights Multicultural Center. We want to share our stories of Tuskegee Alabama’s remarkable history, along with the multicultural history of Macon County’s three distinct cultures and peoples. One historic place – Tuskegee/Macon County, three historic cultures – Native American, European American and African American. Our history is one of triumphs and tragedies, from civil rights victories with state and national impact, to a medical travesty of international significance. Visit our museum and visitor center to discover this part of the South which is the scene of so much wonderful history that has both shaped America, and transformed America – pre-colonial America, and the more recent, 20th century America.
