“A Place for Retreat and Renewal”
Experience 636 acres of natural Florida at Otter Springs Park & Campground. Our centerpiece, Otter Springs, is a second magnitude natural spring with an average temperature of 73 degrees and a flow of 10 million gallons of sparkling pure water daily. The spring creates a large clear pool and stream, which flows into the nearby Suwannee River. The serene setting is perfect for fishing, bird watching, hiking and other outdoor activities. Indoors at the Little Otter Recreation Club we offer books, board games, and foosball. And when you want a little bit of both indoor comfort and outdoor beauty, relax at a poolside table or swim laps in our enclosed pool pavilion. Otter Springs Park & Campground provides a perfect base camp to explore Florida's Nature Coast, a nine-county stretch along the gulf that offers unique recreational and cultural adventures in an unspoiled environment.

Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 03, 2023This campground is run by the non-profit ForVets, Inc. All the profits go to their Camp Valor Project for wounded and disabled vets. The campground is huge and the staff were very friendly. The roads are dirt/gravel. The sites are either dirt/gravel or grass but were very level. We didn't need to unhitch. However, most are very close together. On many sites, use of slide outs and awnings might be questionable if someone is parked in the adjacent site. The bath house was old and, when we arrived in the late afternoon, pretty messy. There is a large screen enclosed pool. Many families and groups of friends were camped here. The main attraction is Otter Springs which Is just a short walk from most campsites. It was small, but nice and cool. We took the handicap accessible trail to Little Otter Springs where there is a rope for swinging out to jump in the water. We didn't rent a canoe, but would if we had more time. Along with the campers there appeared to be a good numbers of day use visitors.

This campground has a good location, with a clear spring-fed swimming hole and a short spring run to the Suwannee River. The people were friendly. Out site was decent, with full hookups, but no privacy from adjacent sites. Noise level was fine. The men's and women's bath houses were both unacceptable during most of our stay. We only saw them cleaned once, after we complained. The place was crowded, and the bathrooms should have been cleaned several times a day. Except for the bath facilities we would probably go back.

This is a favorite destination for our family and friends. We stay a few times throughout the year. The majority of the rv sites are easily accessible and have full hook up. They do offer tent camping on site as well. The bathhouses have always been clean when we’ve visited. This campground is very family and dog friendly. They’ve installed new playground equipment and are in the process of expanding the bath facilities. The only area the dogs are not allowed is down by the spring. However the canoe launch, river, and trails are all pet friendly. We love this place and have already booked our next week-long stay!

The spring don’t have the charms in the Jordan’s pictures. Too many great campground around with better springs to come here again. The price (31$), if you don’t have reduction like us, is very too expensive for what you get. WiFi isn’t functional and they have no laundry.
But the pool is good and Nature Trails too.

Otter Springs did not live up to our hopes. First of all, it is a ways off the beaten path. Since we were just there for an overnight stay, maybe we missed a lot. They had plenty of spaces available. The bath houses were ok and each bath house had 1 washer and dryer each. Washer was $2.50 per load and dryer was $1.50. They have an "indoor" pool and boast many hiking trails. We kinda felt like we found where Deliverance got their actors from. The roads both in and out of the park were not smooth and had many potholes.
