Ginnie Springs Outdoors

We had an amazing time here with all 4 of our teenagers. The water is breathtaking. We tent camped along the riverside and it was perfect. We will definitely be back

When we went camping at Ginnie Springs we really enjoyed the place and the clean water. We did some tubing and went to bed very early because we were tired.

People were having fun partying and drinking. Not a bad idea if you go to a place like this and you are young and full of energy. But the next day, when we walked around and saw the trashy environment that was left from last night, we were very disappointed.Even my kids commented that this was disrespectful!

Despite all this you can really have fun while being there and there are loads of activities for you and your children to do.

"If your idea of fun is 200 beautiful acres of nothing but loud, shirtless, beer drinking, truck driving, ATV driving idiots, then this place is for you my friend. One word of caution, watch where you step, the entire park is covered in beer bottle caps that shine in the Florida sunshine.....even in the springs! It's a damn crying shame that such a beautiful place is being absolutely trashed. This place has sooooo much potential that is going down the drain. It's probably a great place during the week when everyone who has a job is working, but I would avoid the place on the weekends and when school is out...that is if these people actually go to school!? As far as the springs themselves are concerned, they are a site to behold and are fantastic and beautiful. The staff was very helpful and kind, but the camp sites are left wanting. Very dirty, lots of trash and the electric and water hook ups are on the wrong side of the sites! Did get to see some wild life other than the naked drunks......several wild turkeys and a hawk visited our site. The best thing that could happen to Ginnie Springs would be for the State or Federal government to come in and make it a park!"

We travel from AL to Orlando yearly and I am always on the look out for family fun places to stop in between. This is a great place and a must do. The park is great and has different swimming holes. There is a gift shop to purchase items and rent gear. We didn't know what to expect and was so happy to find this shop. We were able to purchase some masks and vest for snorkeling.
We visited in July and the water was cool to cold, but worth it. There was a great place to snorkel and see a little underwater cavern. You can also tube the river. I believe there is also hiking. We did not see anyone drinking and partying or acting ugly. This was very family friendly. We will be stopping again and planning on staying longer.

3 stars to the place, is amazing!! A must if you are on the zone. PROS the place per se is worthy of your time, you may be amaze with nature. Incredibly clean despite the college ambient, spring access 24/7, rentals are accesible. CONS worst customer service, maps are wrong, is a maze once you are in, they rented my a site that was already booked I had to move my motorhome to an other site, no reimbursement no discounts no apologies. Tried to go to the city left my motothome pass on my motothome, had to get it to exit the park. They charge for each adult/kid and services daily, for us it was 80usd daily with electricity and water, they have a dump station, no cable, no wifi (just at the store you have to go there). For us family of 5, it has its cons but we had the most relaxing, fun and nicest of the times, I guess you are your own happiness. A lot of college kids but super polite and clean, our side was full of families far from the river so very quiet. Bring your kayak or paddleboard or inflatable. ****NO PETS ALLOWED**** chose electric and water sites. Quieter at nights.

I took my son on vacation for Spring Break (March) to Destin, FL and decided to stop at Ginnie Springs on the way home. The water was too cold for us to swim, however, that didn't stop groups of people diving! We decided to Kayak. The water was incredibly clear. You could see the bubbling from the springs. We had a great time. The next time we visit, we will be camping.

We left early because there was never silence due to a shitty DJ being right on the river. Everyone parties til the early morning and leaves their trash everywhere. The river itself is beautiful and crystal clear. If you bring a mask they have some areas the have small underwater caves you can see.

Absolutely stunning! This was the nicest campground we stayed at when we were driving to different springs this past year. The facilities were amazing as well. The only bummer was that there wasn't a place to sit in the common area to charge equipment or use the wifi. We ended up sitting on a little bench in the corner that was obviously meant for people waiting to check in, and found an outlet a couple feet away to get a little charge on our phones. I will also say that this campground was the most expensive one I've ever stayed at. We did a primitive campground with no hookups and it was $45 for one night! The campground was definitely the nicest one we stayed at, the sites were huge, but I'm just not sure is it's worth $45.

Beautiful place. We went camping for 4 day at Christmas. It was nice and quiet. We got a spot right by the river. Amazing views! We went tubing, swimming and canoeing. Best Christmas camping! Highly recommended it. Everyone at the camp was extremely kind and helpful.

I had fond memories of this place as a child. Unfortunately i cannot in good faith recommend it after my latest visit. I have never been to a campground where, even though no overly loud noises would be allowed, quiet time started at midnight. It seems this place mostly caters to young, drunk and high college kids now. I stayed here three nights during the week. All day long the music from various other campers' car radios could be heard all over the park. One group played their music at a level i could make out the words, curses and all from about 15 sites away. The noise went well past midnight. Finally that group left but only to be replaced by a large RV. This was in the "primitive" sites. The RV was left running. it was so loud it kept my family awake most of the night as it revved up and down. The people floating on the river were loud, drunk and on many occasions just dumped their beer containers into the water. The only reason i give this place 2 stars instead of one are the springs themselves.....too bad they are so crowded and people feel the need to play their loud, competing music right near the springs. I talked to other campers who claimed the weekends were 100 times worse with people even bringing DJs into the campground to party. I blame management for most of this. The rules are clear but clearly not enforced. On the second night (due to lack of sleep) I made a complaint about the noise and about male campers screwing chicks in the women's bathroom (very uncomfortable situation for my wife), and although I was ensured that something would be done....nothing was. I paid way to much to get so very little rest on this stressful vacation.
