“Turtles, owls & bull frogs, oh my!”
Start your guided adventure with a walk to the elevated viewing platform, where you can see over 450 alligators now from hatchlings to mature adults, relaxing, sunbathing, courting and nesting. Come during feeding times and you can see the feeding crew walk right out to the alligators to feed them! After a breath taking view, continue your adventure with a nature walk on the elevated boardwalk and see alligators in their natural habitat along with other natural inhabitants such as turtles, ospreys, owls and bull frogs only a couple feet away!
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff all along the walkway. We got to hold baby gators! There were lots of interesting birds around the swamp area. Read about Captain Crunch when you get there, and stay to see a feeding.
The park isn't too big, but you'll find yourself spending the whole day there. They have LOTS of gators to look at and a nice trail through the swamp. Plus you get to hold a baby gator. How cool is that!?
Definitely need to see Captain Crunch.
Fun place to explore and learn about alligators. They have a feeding show. You can purchase pellets to feed the gators.
Sometimes they have an extra reptile petting zoo type area.
The info page says that it is FREE, which is not true. For $10 per person, we found it worth it.
Nice place to visit with the family. The park is not very big, but you can spend the entire day there looking at all the Gators. Prices were reasonable. You can even pack a lunch and bring it into the park and have a picnic. I expected the bugs to be a lot worse than what they were, however, the hotter it gets the worse the bugs get so it would be a good idea to bring bug spray! I am definitely going again.
This place is quaint and thoroughly entertaining!! Loved it. Will definitely be back.
