Features a permanent history exhibit about the history of Sulphur, Louisiana, and nearby sulfur mines from the early 1900's.
Located on the original Main Street of small town USA, this unique museum showcases the historic village and mining process of Herman Frasch. Housed in the town's original train depot and updated to display the local history it's a great stop for anyone interested in history or the local area. Situated next to the museum is an art gallery housed in one of the citie's oldest homes. Between the two existing buildings, a new historical site is under construction and soon to be open. This building is an original Sulphur Mines' house, moved to the spot to display the company housing used for the workers at the mines.
