“Serving food & fun since 1939”
Rock Cafe prides in using the original grill in our kitchen from 1939. In 70+ years, Betsy the grill has seared over 5 million burgers and as many chicken fry's and other blue plate specials. She is one of the first known Wolfe grills and stretching at just under 4 feet long and 2 feet wide, its her weight and construction that makes her unique. Weighing at over 200 pounds and made of the highest grade stainless steel, she is vertually indestructible. Betsy survived the devastating Rock Cafe fire that left only her and the four rock walls remaining. When asked what is the favorite food at the Rock Cafe, we like to say anything that comes off of Betsy. The care took in construction of her surface and the years of seasoning treats us all to special food experience. Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
Great place to stop and eat. Kids love seeing the yard art from the "Cars" movie. Nice people. We love stopping here while traveling down Route 66.
Food was great and everyone was very friendly. It was a nice stop to break up a long day!
We loved this place! Lots of Disney Pixar Cars stuff to gawk at as the Cafe and it's owner helped inspired Sally. The food was amazing!! Staff made us feel like family rather than customers. I personally loved the chalk boards outside encouraging you to 'leave your mark'. Hope to go back some day. Highly recommend for everyone who loves good homecooked food!
Really good French toast & hash browns. Friendly staff.
Yummy breakfast! Fun Pixar cars stuff all around!
Stopped for breakfast, great food and staff. They did a great job rebuilding after the fire. Still has original exterior and grill. Perfect route 66 stop.
stopped here because we are doing the Route 66 trip. the real Rock Cafe burned down years ago and was rebuilt. the dining area is very small. there is an outside area but its just too hot and i doubt if the service would be satisfactory. we were inside and the service stunk. hubby had a chili cheese dog snd he said the chili tasted canned. i had a hot dog as well, the hot dogs are good i think it was the chili that was below par. personal opinion is that if the café did not have the route 66 icon status it would not survive. there is a gift shop that mostly carried postcards, cups, etc
This is the type of place that makes route 66 so much fun. With all the graffiti on the wall, and the absolutely sweetest hostess and servers, it's one of those places you just must see. It was the beginning of my Oklahoma stretch out of Tulsa, and got me going for the day. I
Great place for a quick bite. Cute free cups! Car (from the movie) in the yard for photo ops. Buffalo burger was great!
