Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 18, 2019Webster State Park is a great lake to camp at with a family. There are trails, geocaching, fishing, and of course plenty of water.
The Hiill Top site we were at is a new spot, so the tree's are very young for the moment. If you want shade...find another camp ground at the park.

We just stayed one night here, which turned out to be easy. Called ahead on a Saturday in July with no reservations, they said no problem, even for a big rig. When we arrived they directed me to the "Hilltop" loop (one of three). The other two were pretty full, but HT had only two other vehicles in about 20 spots. Many were long pull throughs, and all had 50A and water (plus there is a dump site in the park). We had our pick, setup camp, and went back to the office to register. The HT loop is pretty new with young trees, but was nice and well maintained. The next over loop below was full and had much more mature trees with better shade. Overall the park was quiet, nice view of the lake. Did not use the lake, besides looking at it (the beaches were closed due to algae, but people were fishing).
The location is remote, not many big stores around, but cell service *AT&T and TM) was acceptable and we were able to stream video. A few midges flying around, but not biting and not bad at the time we visited. We visited the Nicodemus NHS nearby, which was very interesting.
However, be aware that the park requires a KS State Park pass for every motorized vehicle (the rangers warned me ahead of time; this is true for all KS SPs). $5 per motorized vehicle, so with motorcoach and toad, it added $10 a day (but $36 a night for 50A W/E still isn't too bad). We also had other KS SP reservations, so we got the annual pass for $25 per vehicle. The other downside is that the annual pass is a window sticker that must be on the windshield (can't be laminated, etc). So just be aware of the extra cost, and if an annual pass will work better for you.

Well kept, well run park. Large back-in and pull thru sites. Electric and Water only. Close to dump station. Add $5 for KS State Parks fee, or buy a yearly pass. Most Kansas State Parks are decent, though. Great lake view but windy where we were. Other CG's lower so less wind. Uncrowded during the week but full up on weekends. Would give 5 stars if it had sewer hookups. Check out the town of Nicodemus nearby. Groceries/fuel 8 miles east in the town of Stockton.

Arrived on late afternoon on a Tuesday and found plenty of empty sites. Noted that possibly some fisherman leave their RV and boat at a site through the week. A number of RVs didn’t show any evidence of folks actually at the site. We stayed in Hilltop Campground. Plenty of grassy space between sites and number of long wide pull throughs. These were electric and water sites. Mostly level and clean. Not as many trees at this campground as some of the others but that is what we wanted for this stay. Would certainly stay here again.
