Beautiful, clean, free and running water with flush toilets! They also have some nice trails behind the visitor center but no dogs allowed on trails.

The canyon campground is closed for now. But the Sunrise one is open for business.
Paved road and sites. Most are smaller for cars or short RV like mine at 18ft. Nice bathroom, flush toilet and a small utility sink in a separate room. I had some tree shade after 4:00 PM. Very quiet. Clean. Simple. And FREE.

I would certainly pay to stay in this pristine, very scenic and nicely laid out campground but it's free! Sites are paved and quite level, some shade and privacy. Well worth the drive off the highway! Will plan to stay longer next time.

Sunset View campground was the best stop on our 5 day trip. The snow was unexpected for early October but it was beautiful and not too cold with the sun shining. There were only about 5 sites that could fit a 25' rig.

This place is AWESOME. Dry camping, so if you’re an RV, come with water and empty grey tanks. No dump station. Views are magnificent and the sunsets really were spectacular. Truly a very peaceful and calming place to be. The park it’s connected to is great too and has some nice, simple walking/hiking trails to some incredibly well worth it sites, including some Ancestral Pueblos.
Campground sign says max length is 28’ RV or trailer... we didn’t know this as we headed up...luckily the campground was fairly empty this time of year and we were able to snag one of the few sites that could barely accommodate something a little bigger... though we felt quite guilty about breaking the rules!
We broke out the tent one night just to hang out with the stars more. Great spot for stargazing.

This was an amazing camping spot. Like others have said, I would pay to stay here. The sites were level, the people friendly, and the views breathtaking. This is a gem!

As others have stated I would pay to stay here. Great views and very well maintained. No hookups obviously but there's a bathroom and waste containers scattered about.
Roads are paved and very accessible. Sites are split between back-in and "pull through" shoulder sites on the side of the road. Some are level and some are on a bit of an angle but nothing extreme.
There's a couple signs before you enter that warn of a 28' limit. I believe this is pretty accurate. My trailer is 27' pulled by a 20ish foot Ram 3500 and with my combined truck/trailer length I barely squeezed into my shoulder site (if I wanted a back-in site I would've had to unhitch so as not to block the road).
Kind of a bummer that you can't take your dogs on the trail to the monument but that's often the case with public trails.
Cell signal is weak. Even with a booster I was only able to get two bars and even then I wasn't getting much bandwidth probably due to others hitting the same tower.

Stayed at site #26 on April 11, 2022. 2500 Dodge Ram with a 24’ travel trailer. Site had an easy pull-through drive with just enough room. There’s about 30 sites in this CG. Wanted to camp at Canyon View, but that CG was closed. Was a pleasant stay. And the sunset was awesome. Campsite are close but far enough for private conversations. Bathrooms were VERY clean.
