Very nice and well maintained campground. Boat ramp for loading and unloading. Has a no wake lake which is nice without boat noise. Even horses have a place to be corralled and trails for riding.
We stopped here on our way to OKC to get some rest for one night. The campground was very clean and very easy to navigate. We camp in an RV but we don’t need hookups so we called ahead and they said we could just pay the wilderness price and park in their parking lot. You have lots of people in out with fishing and using the horse riding trail but the lake is no wake so it stays pretty quiet. The only reason I’m not giving it full stars is because they say they lock the gate every night and open every morning and when we checked it was always open. We even used the showers on site and got hot water!

We stopped here on our way home from Arizona to Toronto during the COVID-19 pandemic. This place was a lovely respite along the way. It was worth it for us to go 20 miles out of our way to stay here. Full hookups, picnic table, a quiet lake with a pathway beside part of it. Basic clean bathrooms. Horseback riding and hiking trails right from the campground. Great price. It was super quiet at night as well as during the day. Children's playground and horse corrals for those who need them. The camp ranger was super friendly and helpful. Needed one leveller to be level. AT&T cellular teetered between 1 and 3 bars and mostly allowed me to do my work.

We were the only ones there first night and one other camper came in. Kind of got lost on the way in, was looking for camp signs, but figured it out.

I grew up in Prague and I have a special connection to the lake. But if you’re not a horse person or like the smell of horse crap constantly I wouldn’t suggest staying in the RV sites. They are clean and maintained but they cater to the horse riding crowd. The lake had good fishing at times but it was to windy to do much fishing the day we were there.

****Using our GPS, we found a shortcut coming in from the North. Don't do it! It was the most terrible washboard ever for 3 miles! East 1010 Road.
We appreciated the quiet and the sunset views on the lake. Easy walking trails.
If there was a horse event it might get crowded, but our experience was wonderful!

We stayed 1 Saturday night in March. Full hook up $15. Yes it does smell like horse but overall it is a great place for a winter overnight. The bathhouse had hot water and were heated. 8 full hook up sites in main area. For us it was a peaceful stay!
