During our road trip in the USA we booked a swamp tour with The Last Wilderness Swamp Tours. Exactly on time, Al picked us up from the meeting point at Dale’s trading post.
We embarked in his boat and went on a 2 hour trip through the bayous. We saw quite a few alligators, many beautiful birds, a little snake and a fishing spider. Al allowed plenty of time to take good photos and explained us many things about the ecosystem and how it is threatened.
What makes this tour special is the fact that this is a private tour in a small, comfortable boat. The organisation is dedicated to preservation of the Atchafalya Basin wildlife (Al picked up some waste!).
All-in all, this has been a wonderful experience. I would recommend serious wildlife lovers to book this trip!
