Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on September 05, 2022This is the same property as The Village at North Fork, but the riverfront sites and the lodge are on the south side of the North Fork, and the non-riverfront sites and the store and gas station are across the bridge on the north side. If you're staying in these riverfront sites, park here and walk across the bridge to the store to check in.
The riverfront back-in sites were in an absolutely beautiful location, right on the bank of the Salmon River. These were the only six sites on this side of the bridge. They were well-packed gravel, level, and had full hookups. It was very serene, and there was always the sound of the fast-moving river.
There was no Verizon cell service, but there was a 3G (data only - no voice) signal from a network extender (effectively a private cell tower that runs off the business' broadband network), and the campground wifi that came to life after the owner rebooted it. The data speed of both was adequate for email and web pages.
The campsites were not shielded from the highway, and passing traffic was noisy with the sound reflected off the rock on the other side, but thankfully traffic was light, and almost non-existent at night.
The store had gas at a good price, propane, and a few groceries. It would be best to come fully provisioned. There was also a post office.
There was a paved and then excellent gravel road that led from the store, downstream along the bank of the Salmon River. I drove along it for 25 miles, with spectacular views of the river and rapids, past where Lewis and Clark abandoned their attempt to paddle downstream to the Columbia and returned to buy horses from the Shoshone.

Came across this rv campground as we were driving to Sun Valley. No reservation but one spot was available. Owners very helpful and friendly. Full hook ups. No cell service but internet if you sit on the office porch where the river view is spectacular. Previous review is a great summary. Be sure and read that. I give it the highest ratings.

We loved this campground. It is nestled in the Central Idaho Rocky Mountains on the Salmon River. The scenery is amazing and the river is beautiful. The campsites sit a bit above the river but you can easily access it from behind the lodge (a short walk). Great spots for fishing and not only do you have fishing in the Salmon, but you also have the North Fork of the Idaho as well as this is where the North Fork runs into the Salmon Also within walking distance is a gas station, amazing tackle shop and small grocery with a nice selection of items. It is off the main highway so there was a bit of traffic noise during the day but none in the evening. Can't wait to visit again!

We made reservations on line the night prior. All interactions were by text message.
Our arrival was during what we feared was going to be an evening of wildfire smoke that totally enveloped the town of North Fork. But within 30 minutes it was totally clear as the wind shifted and he smoke abated.
The gravel pads were solid to support our trailer. He sites all have connections for water, power, and sewer. A wood picnic table was also available to us. WiFi was available on site and was strong (we were in Site 1, closest to the lodge building. Signal was strong, I was able to stream the MLB channel with no glitches.
The grounds are right off the highway. Some loud vehicles (trucks and motorcycles primarily) into the late evening. The resort marquee sign lit up the entire area - extremely bright to the point of lighting up the hill across the road, the road, and the entire rv park. There were restroom facilities on the premises. Crossing the bridge there is a store with fuel (gas and diesel), propane, high end outdoor wear, camping and rv supplies, and some limited food and drinks. There is also a U.S. Post Office and restrooms.
There are recreation opportunities offered by the owners.
We would stay again at this location.
There is plenty of maneuvering room to position your rig to get in to your site. Site 1 has to contend a bit with the parking for the lodge due to its angle relative to the parking lot. The site itself is attractive and the river is flowing and turning directly below you. In the 90° heat, it was a nice location for cold drinks from your camp chairs watching the river as it works it’s way towards the Snake.

Small RV park right on Salmon river. Beautiful scenery. Mgers we’re very nice. Park is on the major Hwy leading into and out of Salmon. Traffic day and night. We have a dog. No where to walk ur dog except on roadways. It’s harrowing at times as traffic speeds by. Walk at ur own risk.
