“Food & Drink in New Orleans, LA”
Aunt Sally's is the authentic purveyor of all things New Orleans. Since 1935, our specialty is in creating our delicious, hand poured Creole pralines. We make a variety of pralines, hand crafted with the finest locally sourced ingredients, and slowly cooked in old fashioned copper pots.Aunt Sally's has two convenient locations in New Orleans. Our newest store, along the streetcar line at 750 St. Charles Avenue, is designed with the charm of old New Orleans. Located in a restored 1920's building, and part of rapidly developing Lafayette Square and Arts District neighborhood, the new building serves as our headquarters. It is also a modern, state-of-the-art, 21st century facility; making the same wondrous products we've delighted taste buds with for nearly 80 years. 750 St. Charles Avenue is also the home of our brand new, first-of-its-kind in New Orleans, Praline Tasting Tour. During the one hour in-store tour, visitors get to savor the smells, tastes, and delights of watching our pralines being made. We also cover the history of New Orleans from around 1935 to present day; the family that created, and continues to run, Aunt Sally's, and the final half of the tour culminates in a mega-tasting of all our Pralines. Our French Quarter location, at 810 Decatur Street in the Historic French Market, highlights our history, and showcases our pralines and New Orleans merchandise to the millions of people who visit the city each year. Conveniently located next to Cafe Du Monde, the store is just steps away from Jackson Square.
