Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 20, 2023Thought I had a reservation here although my information was not taken at time of booking. I was told that no down payment was required as a courtesy to koa members. On day of reservation I called and left a message as I departed from my prior campground. I’d requested a call back, left a 2nd message at lunch again requesting a call back. As I approached the city I called one last time and when there was no answer I was able to get a reservation at another campground.
This review is based on the park as it stood during our stay. It is new to KOA and appears to be under current refurbishment. However, at this time: The driveway is not well marked (small sign hidden by trees on approach) and is a tight turn off the road. The office building is old and needs a full remodel, the store inventory is limited. The gravel interior roads are tight maneuvering through the other RV's. We had a pull through skinny gravel site. It appeared the power towers were mostly new, as were the sites' water supply hoses/spigots. The office gave us a Xerox copy of a park "map" that did not show where the garbage was, and unlike other KOA's was not detailed with local map, services, etc. The laundry/game room/bathroom-shower building is old, beat up, needs full refurbishing, dirty, cobweb covered, holes in the sheetrock. Two beat up washers and two beat up dryers are all the machines, despite room for more. The bath/showers consisted of a single toilet and shower (at least in the men's room), the shower was filthy & covered in cobwebs. The "game room" looked to be used to store junk and may have been in process of getting exterior painting, albeit not in any hurried manner. It appeared there were several long-term residents of the park, in both RV's and some of the cabin units. The landscaping needs a little sprucing up, grass overgrown, some of the "residents" allowed garbage to be strewn about their sites. It does not look like the needed work will be completed anytime soon. It would be interesting to see this place in a year's time to gauge any improvements.

I stayed 1 night in my camper. I got there late at night and had made my reservation over the phone a couple hours earlier. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly. He left me a map and the rules pinned to the board of the building which was helpful. My lot was B4. It wasn’t level and the electric and water/sewer were spaced pretty far apart so before I left I just pulled forward a bit to be able to empty my tanks. Check out time was noon. I did not go into any buildings or bathrooms on the property. It was very quiet all night!

Needed an overnight stay. They gave us site #2 even when it did not show available in the system. Site was very spacious, picnic table, good illumination. They are still in transition to KOA, so camp store was empty , service was average and all facilities were not functioning. Close to malls, restaurants and Atlanta highway. Main complaint is entrance… has a dip which made our trailer scrape the street. They need to fix that entrance to avoid damages to RVs and trailers.

We stayed here because it was listed as a KOA which to us meant a certain amount of cleanliness. I understood it was just named a KOA and I thought I was prepared for any 'clumsiness' with transitions. It seemed like most of the clientele was long term in older RVs. The bathhouse was old and layered with grime. Management did change the bathmats during our stay, so I guess they were trying. The cell service and wifi were adequate. Overall, we thought we over paid for the site.

It was quiet and clean. They have a new playground for kids which was nice. Wifi didn't work if you were not close to the clubhouse. Convenient for a quick overnight stop.

Quiet Location. Level Gravel Spots very easy to get in and out of. Staff Was Very Helpful And Nice. New play ground. Facilities are good and shop is in progress. Seems Like Mostly Long Term Or Older Campers. Entry is only hair raising spot. If making a right especially with a long trailer you need to make a Very Wide turn . Otherwise would definitely recommend staying here if looking for a quiet get away.
