Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on September 21, 2023We stayed at Farmers Branch RV Park on 3/19/2021 on our way from Arizona. It was a last minute addition as we had changed our route from I-10 to I-20. We are so glad that we did. From the moment my wife spoke with the owner, Willie Brewer, Jr, we knew we had found a friendly place to stay the night. Mr. Brewer provided directions to his park (be sure to follow them), met us at the entrance to the park, and helped us to get backed in and situated in the spot. Due to an issue with our power plug we were not able to use the 50 amp service but Mr. Brewer allowed us to us our generator - no problem. The site we used was grass but very firm even for our large (and heavy) coach.
The next morning, a Saturday, he stopped by and helped us dump our tanks and and fill our fresh water tanks. Very good water, by the way. We had a nice long talk the evening before and also that morning. We plan to stay a couple of nights next time we pass through. We didn't have the opportunity to visit but according to Mr. Brewer, there is a great seafood restaurant nearby - after all, it is Louisiana!

Owner is very nice and friendly. He is willing to offer any help that you may need with setting up your rv. The campground is not fancy but well maintained. Sites are grass or gravel and relatively level. Should be easy to use any blocks you have to level if you’re staying for more than a night. We are not. There is no trash lying around and the grass is nicely mowed. It seems to be mostly filled with long term residents with just a few spots for overnighters. It’s off the beaten track so pretty quite just a bit of noise from highway. I would stay here again overnight

Willie Junior and his wife met me to guide me to my site. I’ve travelled the world many times, and Willie and his wife are the most genuine people I have ever met. They even invited me to dinner, but i had to run a couple of errands and after working while driving I wasn’t able to grab dinner until later that night. Willie communicated with me via text before and after the visit. Honestly, way more than i expected. The site was grass-based and had the essentials, but clean and everything worked as expected. There are some long-term residents in the park, and it isn’t large, but very quaint and quiet. Only noise was the train at 10:15pm. I didn’t hear anything other than that. I planned on it as a stopover on my way back home, but I’m now thinking about a return for a longer stay as Minden is an interesting little town worth exploring. Thanks Willie. I look forward to meeting you again.

Willie was great at communicating and even text over his information. The site was nice and easy to get to plus easy to connect to the sewer, water, and electrical. He has both 30 and 50 connectors. This is a great site for just a stopover off the highway and that’s all we needed. There are no showers or WiFi but for a single night it was not needed. We are very thankful for Willie’s hospitality and generosity. He even helped us with an issue with our RV.

Although we only needed a one night stay as we traveled through to hone destination in Texas, this was absolutely perfect.
From the first phone call and speaking with Marie to texting Willie the particulars and upon arrival it was truly a pleasure.
Yes it is a small park but we prefer this over any resort RV park where you get sacked for things you don't or won't use.
It was easy in and out even with our big rig.
It has a clean laundry and showers if you so chose to need.
Wish there were more folks like Willie and Marie in the world.
Definitely worth the stop if you are in need as you pass through the area or wish to stay longer.
Y'all would only be 20 minutes from Shreveport!

On our way from NC to AZ and wanted a place to open up our rooftop tent that was safe. Owner- Willie was super chill from the time we called to make a reservation. He did not take payment until we got there and is cash only, but we were prepared. Our arrival time was pushed back to after dark and he was very easy going about it. He met us at the entrance to the park and guided us to our spot. We had our golden doodle with us and let him out to run around. WIllie welcomed him with open arms. To get to the park- you go down Hatten Roberts Rd, over railroad tracks and it is on the left amongst the pines. A lovely country escape, quiet night. In the office building there is a laundry area and a single bathroom that has a shower in it. There are also dumpsters out back. We would definitely stay again.

Such a Nice Experience! Easy to call for a reservation, cash or check Only! Mr. Willie Brewer met us at the entrance, easy to drive in to a pull through site with good hookups! Pretty level, lots of water pressure- bring a pressure regulator. Yes there are some long-terms here, but all-in-all, a good overnight! We would certainly stay here again!

We really enjoyed our one night stay. This is a really nice, quiet, clean park. The owner is very accommodating. We had a few issues with our RV and he was more than willing to help us with setting up and leaving. If I could give it 10 stars I would. We’ll definitely be back.

Willie was great! It was pouring rain and 7:00pm and dark. He was kind enough to meet us at the front gate and take us to our site.. Very nice after a full long day of driving. Camp was clean and easy to get in and out of. Will plan on staying again! Very fairly priced too!
