“Memphis' Oldest Cafe, Since 1919”

Memphis's oldest cafe was opened in 1919, but it wasn't until the '50s when The Arcade really came into its own as a classic diner. With a menu of staples like biscuits and gravy, sweet potato pancakes, grits, cheeseburgers, catfish, and more, you'll probably leave stuffed. Plus, their menu features Elvis Presley's famous favorite sandwich: a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich with bacon.

Tip: If it's open, ask to be seated in Elvis' regular corner booth!

Great service and good food in an interesting atmosphere. Good place to stop after a tour of the Civil Rights Museum 2 blocks away... You will feel like you stepped back in time.

Food was great and great service. Cool place to visit with it sending you back in time. Oldest restaurant in Memphis with different movies being filmed there such as Walk the Line.

The food was good and the prices right with a friendly atmosphere. Just know that there is a reason most of us don't eat fried pb and banana sandwiches...and that's no reflection on the Arcade. Try the fish, it was awesome!

Step back in time and enjoy some Great food and fun atmosphere, the benches and tables are the same ones Elvis eat at, but that's what makes it fun. Staff was friendly, but busy. The food was great. We had the sweet potatoes pancakes and French toast, unique and fantastic.

Slow service, bad service, average food. Neat to see something old & maintained/restored. Something different here, just old and run down. Place felt dirty. Could be cool with some work, but basically just old. Defiantly not worth a special trip.

My wife ordered the sweet potato pancakes and I got traditional pancakes with blueberries. Both came with bacon and eggs. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. The staff was also very helpful in directing us to a good spot to check out the Mighty Mississippi right after we ate.
