Welcome to Meadview RV Park, your gateway to the stunning landscapes where the Grand Canyon meets Lake Mead in northwest Arizona. Nestled at 3,400 feet elevation, Meadview offers a unique climate—a bit cooler than the low-lying deserts in summer and milder than the mountain areas in winter. Our area boasts a rich history, with land purchased in 1960 eventually becoming part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Today, Meadview is home to around 900 residences and welcomes visitors from all corners of the globe. People come to experience the beauty of Lake Mead, the proximity to the Grand Canyon, the marvel of the Hoover Dam, and the intrigue of the lesser known Joshua Tree Forest. Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the U.S., is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering boating, hiking, camping, and fishing across 1.5 million acres of mountains and canyons. You have the choice to bring your own RV or book one of our cozy onsite cabins. Start your Lake Mead RV camping adventure here in the heart of the Arizona desert at Meadview RV Park.

Stumbled upon this gem when trying to get campground (CG) reservations near the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim, but none were to be found. Meadview is near the Grand Canyon West Rim and on the Arizona side of Lake Mead. The drive in from Kingman through Dolan Springs was very interesting and off the beaten path with Joshua trees everywhere as we drove into Meadview. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the very nice owner/manager who provided in-depth details on the area then escorted us to site 31 with FHUs. On this day, site 31 was a pull through since no one was in the site directly behind us. This is a no frills CG. It does have a shower house, laundry, and they sell firewood, propane, and ice. We were amazed at the dazzling views of the Grapevine Mountains and Grand Canyon West, which is about 35 minutes away. Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai reservation has the famous (we found out) SkyWalk. The Grand Canyon West is commercialized and a little on the pricey side. This area also has access to the Colorado River and quads/ATVs are also a thing here. The nearest major amenities are in Kingman about an hour away so stock up before you arrive. If you really want to get away from it all this quiet CG is your place.

Be aware that the rules you receive when checking in do not apply to the long-term residents. The rules state that, “pets must be on a leash when outside of cabin or RV.” I had the misfortune of being parked next to a resident and his wife who let one of their dogs and cat roam around off-leash, and there was another who did the same. It drove my dog nuts to have animals outside the trailer (which in turn drove me nuts). The woman from the office who guided me to my site told him that he needed to keep his dogs tied up but he ignored her.
The rules also state, “washing RV’s or other vehicles is prohibited and will result in a $25.00 fine and/or eviction from the RV Park.” The same neighbor had no problem washing his boat. Hypocritically his wife had admonished my other neighbor not to wash her RV when she was out washing the dead bugs off the front of it. You also must be careful when walking along the roads next to the park as dog owners haven't picked up after their dogs who poop in the roadway. I stayed here in order to visit the Grand Canyon West (which was beautiful!). When I decide to return to the Grand Canyon, I won’t be staying here. FYI - The nearest grocery story is an hour away in Kingman, however, there is a Family Dollar store within a few miles of the park.

We had high hopes for this park. Arrived at 4 pm and no one in office, no one answering phones. We were left alone with no direction. We just chose a spot and hoped for the best. Needed to do laundry and was pleasantly surprised at cleanliness of laundry room and quality of equipment. Coin laundry and reasonable prices with good equipment . Went to take a shower and the shower is coin operated. 9 minutes for 9 quarters. Couldn’t figure it out as sign was not prominent. Toilets dirty and no toilet paper. Got locked in shower as door lock jammed. Owner finally returned and I explained about bath issues. He stated water was shipped in and surveyors were using facilities in the middle of the night and leaving a mess and taking toilet paper. If this is a known issue, you should be cleaning and stocking several times a day. Just a jumbled mess we stumbled into here. Could very easily be remedied with signs indicating manager out and direction to your campsite left for you, and more attention paid to bathhouse details. Fine for a night but not living up to potential.

I paid for a month at happy trails rv park in meadview. After ten days asked the manager about access to the laundry room and was told it’s for the motel only. The closest laundromat is sixty miles south in kingman so, I decided to stop and speak with the manager Sharon at meadview rv park. She was kind enough to let me wash my clothes as needed. Thank you.

This is a nice little no frills rv park close to the west rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s a small rv park with some long term residents but it’s not very crowded. The rv spots are well spaced apart and they are fairly level. The park is well maintained and clean. The onsite bathrooms and laundry are very clean and smell nice! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and Native American culture. It’s very quiet day and night and we enjoyed taking walks around the park saying hi to all the friendly campers and residents. It’s really close to the town of Meadview where there’s a few restaurants and a Family Dollar for groceries. We will definitely stay here again when in the area!

This is a great RV Park close to the West rim of the Grand Canyon. The park is well maintained and clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and the guy who worked there gave us lots of information on things to do and where to go, he was lovely.
We would definitely stay here again.
