Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 17, 2023Since its reopening in February, there are a lot of improvements that happened here in Lassen RV. The campgrounds are now well maintained and very clean, the newly renovated bathrooms and other facilities are clean. Also, the rooms are spacious. The owners also wanted to make sure that the guests makes the full out of their stay. And the views are also breathtaking. Family trips are perfect here.
We enjoyed our time at Lassen RV Resort. The sites were spread among a grove of oak trees. Very roomy sites. Clean bathrooms. Our neighbors were noisy but quieted down after one request from us. 1 hr to Lava Beds, 1 hr to Lassen, 30 min to Burney Falls. Nice area. Wifi wasn't great, but we managed.

I'm not a fan of RV parks in general. That said, Lassen RV Resort is nothing like the traditional set up with monster RVs tightly tucked together on asphalt or concrete pads. This spot is nestled in a beautiful old California oak forest surrounded by working range land. Lots of beautiful ranches and farms dot the distances with curious cattle and sheep. The town of McArthur is a 10 minute drive west with a few quaint restaurants and a sweet little general store with any basic amenities you may need to restock. Turning off the road into the gated park, you drive up a red volcanic rock drive which helps give the entire park quite a bit of privacy. Nearly every site had electric (30, 50amp) and water hook ups....many had premium, full service hook ups available. Pads are gravel and most were fairly level. I didn't need any levelers at either site I used. There were tent campers to Class As there - it was mostly full each time I stayed but you'd never know it. It was so quiet, day and night. The owners and their crew are incredibly kind, warm, and helpful people. There was a lot of space between sites and the oak trees and brush helped add to the privacy. The full bath house was super clean, showers included in the price so no scurrying out from under freezing cold water when your time is up or you are out of quarters. Laundry was also available although I didn't need to use it. There are walking paths all around the property so my dog had ample exercise - like nearly 2 miles if we did every path. Lassen RV also has a great pool which you were allowed to use on a per camp site sign up basis so the staff could clean between uses. There were several little spots to sit and chill under the shade of oaks. Positive messages and signs were strewn about the property giving it a rustic, hip-but-not-hippy vibe....just a very inclusive feeling place. I just cannot say enough positives about Lassen RV Park. I can't wait to return and hunker down for more than a day or 2 - perfect place to restore your sanity or stop over for one night on the long trek through California's open ranges and foothills.

I had such high hopes for Lassen RV! After reading it’s great reviews I reworked our original plans so we could visit. At first glance this appears to be my kinda place. Sitting outside the first evening I was formulating 2 future weeklong visits wherein I would be accompanied by relatives that are RV’ers. The next morning we walked up by the pool. Then I saw what they had posted on the fence enclosing the area. What a huge disappointment. I’d suggest you call & inquire about these before booking a reservation. We will not return.

Unlike most other private parking lot style RV parks, this one makes you really feel like you're camping. The sites, especially the Fantasy Sites, are very private and large pull-throughs but with full amenities. The red volcanic earth and the stunted oak trees made me feel like we were camping in Africa, a nice change of pace from pines and firs. There are showers and laundry and a little store. About 30 minutes away is gorgeous McArthur Burney Falls State Park, not to be missed. The Fall River Valley is a gorgeous huge farming area that is surrounded by ancient volcanoes, like Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. We are Californians and this part of the state seems delightfully undiscovered. We returned from the falls via the Old Highway Rd. and among the other delights was a peony farm in full bloom. It is pretty isolated area and not a lot of eating or entertainment choices, other than what nature has to offer, but it is well worth going out of your way for a stay here. Camp management was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Oh, the Wi-Fi is a little slow but not unbearable and there was cell-service. Also, love these owners' commitment to inclusivity and artistry. It rained a lot while we were here, including while setting up, but we still really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Lassen RV on our way to the Golden State Star Party.
I love Lassen RV. The sites are large and not right on top of each other. The more privacy you want, the farther you should reserve away from the office. Very helpful and cheerful people.
I wonder what the other reviewer meant when they posted about the swimming pool fence. It is not clear.

Small park with very large sites(premium) and worth it. Good utilities, quiet, clean. Close to hat ck, pit river and burney falls. Cons. no dog area, showers could use a bench for safety otherwise the bathrooms are very nice. Friendly staff. Pool looks nice. Campground with some artistic touches.

One of my favorite RV campgrounds! Beautiful drive in.The staff are friendly and helpful. The sites are roomy so I did not feel on top of my neighbor like so many private campgrounds. Plus, you can have lots of extra room for a little more money. I didn't choose that. Wifi available for free, and you can pay a little extra to get a strong signal which I did and was able to work on Zoom calls from there. Nice to be in a more natural, wooded setting than many campgrounds. Gravel, level sites. Clean bathrooms. Lots of walking trails with fun artwork along the paths, and one trail brings you to an amazing view of Mount Shasta in the distance. They have a beautiful focus and commitment to inclusivity which creates such a warm, relaxing environment for all. It may be a little out of the way, but well worth it!
