The mission of the Lucas Arts and Humanities Council, Inc. aka Grassroots Art Center is to educate, exhibit, document and preserve the grassroots, self-taught art environments found in the Midwest and exhibit and foster folk art of the region. Exhibits of more than 30 unique self-taught, outsider art environments. Permanent and temporary exhibits from across the Midwest. Visitors experience the work of primarily retired individuals working with recycled materials to create yard environments.
