We recently used this dump station and it was free to dump. Plenty of room for big rigs. However there is no official potable water. As a matter of fact the sign even says Non Potable water. I spoke to the staff and they said because the water line was so close to the dumping station they couldn't officially label it Potable. The staff did say that the line was city water and fresh. He assured me that the spigot line was not well water and that it was safe for drinking.
We've used the dump at Lander on numerous occasions. It's a wonderful thing the city does for free for us campers. Yes, the water there is marked as non-potable and most folks just use that spigot to rinse out their tanks--but it is city water I believe. Seems like most of the dumps we find slope AWAY from the dump...this one is pretty level which is nice.
I always appreciate a free dump station!
As said below the city can't mark the water as potable beings that it is so close to the dump station but it is city water.
We stayed at Sinks Canyon State park which was very nice but they had no dump station. Found this and everything worked out very nice. Highly recommend this area.
Clean, convenient and free… can’t beat that!
You can't beat a free RV dump station. Convenient location. The water pressure was great. We flushed our tanks. Thank you to the city of Lander
Easy to find. Lots of space to maneuver
